This morning we headed out to Scheetz Tree Farm here in Ohio to cut our Christmas Tree down. This is one thing that I miss while we are on the road. Cutting down a large Christmas Tree!! This place got some really good reviews and when I contacted them they said they still had plenty left to cut down. Tim had the middle of the week off so when we went it was on a Tuesday. There was only one other family there which makes it really nice. The owner was getting ready to get on his tractor and noticed Garrett watching him. So he came and scooped up Garrett and let him sit up there with him on the tractor. Garrett was so happy!! Having fun while looking for our tree :) Yep, Garrett found me!! More fun with Mommy!! Garrett was really enjoying himself running around. We found our perfect tree!! Garrett even got in to help cut it down, well sort of :) Getting ready to drag it down to the truck, with Garrett trying to help. It was so funny to watch him chase it to try to lift the top to help his daddy. On the way back to the truck was a little hill that Garrett thought was fun to roll down. He was having so much fun. Shaking out all the bad stuff!! The good thing about having a truck.....not having to worry about tying it down. We just shoved it in the bed and are ready to head in the store. Heading into the store to pay for our tree. They had so many neat decorations. I would highly recommend getting your Christmas Tree from here if you are near the Zanesville area. We got the tree home and are getting it ready in the area we picked. Tim cutting off the binding for the tree. Free at last!! Tim preparing the tree and obviously needing a break, LOL!! Our tree skirt is special to me. My Grandma Amon was a great seamstress and made this tree skirt for us a couple of years before she passed away. Every time I bring it out it reminds me of her. Feeding the tree and apparently a pillow for the dog, LOL. Garrett patiently waiting to decorate the tree. Putting the lights on the tree. While Tim was working on the lights, I gave Garrett his bath a little early so we could work on the ornaments after. Bath all done, pajamas on, time to put on the ornaments. It was so much fun to watch him put them on. He loved it!! What a great day spent together as a family. I love our life!!
