Today we headed out about 11:30 to Crater Lake National Park. It was a bit of an overcast day and the weather at Crater Lake is about 25 degrees cooler than where we currently are. So we made sure to dress warmly and bring our coats.

We had to drive up around Klamath Lake and the view was so pretty. It did start to sprinkle a bit on our way up. Hopefully it is just in this area.
The drive up was so pretty. They had some farmland and mountains in the distance. It was a very enjoyable drive and took us about 1 hour to get to our destination.

They get tons of snow up here starting mid October.
They had this green mossy stuff on most of the trees here.
We stopped for lunch and had a creek below us that you could hear. It was so peaceful and quiet. Being that we went on a Thursday it wasn't very busy.
Finished with lunch and getting ready to head into the park.

We stopped at the Visitor Center to get our Passport Book stamped and to get our penny and sticker to go in as well.
Yikes, I think we will skip visiting in the Winter!!

This is the other visitor center. At this center you can catch a trolley to take you around the park. They also have a hotel as well.

Enjoying our dinner at Klamath Basin Brewing Company. There was a group behind us that was having a good time and a person started clapping. It was so funny because then Garrett started clapping, of course everyone thought it was funny. He is so funny and brings smiles to everyone's faces!! Our dinner was wonderful as well.
