Yesterday, Garrett had a fever and wasn't feeling well. This is bad news because he is scheduled to have surgery on Jan 9th. I gave him Tylenol/Ibuprofen through the night and also gave him some this morning. Why is it whenever you give a kid medicine and they start to feel better they all of a sudden are back to their normal self. Well needless to say he had fun playing kicker with his dad.
I called his doctor and he advised that as long as the temp doesn't go above 101 they will still do the surgery. They also advised that at midnight I was no longer allowed to give any further medication. Thankfully that evening his temp came down. I tried to keep him from being to rambunctious by letting him play games with dad :)

Surgery is scheduled for 2:15 tomorrow. Going to be interesting in that he can't have anything to eat or drink tomorrow except for clear liquids like water and sprite and that ends at 10:15 in the morning. Praying we all get a good nights sleep.
I'm so thankful that he has such a good father!! I couldn't ask for a better dad for my little guy :)
