We packed up, stopped at the bathroom one last time before leaving and on the way out there were Patrick and Lane. OMG What?? They had come to check out the RV park and were hoping we hadn't left yet. I know we just left them not that long ago, but framily is framily and it was so good to see them again!! We stayed and talked for 15 but then really did have to get going. Here is hoping our paths cross again in the not too distant future!!
We got to the KOA in St. Louis around 3 with no issues thankfully!! We got set up and had a wonderful spot. We had a house on the other side of the fence that had some horses. It was such a pretty area! We are definitely way more happy with this KOA than the one in Dayton!!

This RV park had what is called a jumping pillow. We wanted Garrett to get rid of some of that energy before we went out to eat so we headed down to play on that while Tim looked up a place for him to have his Birthday dinner.
So for those of you that have never been on a jumping pillow....it is extremely hard for middle aged women that are fluffy to get up....as this video will help portray ;)

I did finally get up to the top and I just have to say....Jumping Pillow is AWESOME! So much fun and your kids will think you are awesome :)
Tim picked Brown Jerry's Barbecue for his Birthday Dinner and Wow!! So good!! Plus the story of why it's called Brown Jerry's is really cute!!
April 19 - We woke up early this morning to head into St. Louis. We were finally going to visit the Arch and do a Riverboat tour of the mighty Mississippi River. I was so excited. I don't know how many times we've gone through St. Louis and I always said man one of these days we need to stop and visit the Arch. Well today is the day :)

He practically begged to wear the backpack. So we let him. He really was a trooper about it, but only lasted a little while.
We stopped for an early lunch at a little cafe called Pickles. It was so good and if you are ever in St. Louis I highly recommend it!!
We left Pickles Cafe and started our way down to the Arch and the Riverboat.

We started walking again to the Arch. This thing is so massive.
Garrett was having a great time playing in the grass. Its like he knows he isn't going to see it again for awhile :)
Tim got a great shot!! He has such a good eye for stuff like this.
The area where the Arch is, as well as the riverboat is actually a very beautiful park. Looks like the city of St. Louis tries to keep it looking nice.
Garrett was trying really hard to use his ninja moves, but no matter what he did the building just would not move.....
He finally gave up and we just took a picture next it :)

Our tickets were for the riverboat first. So we headed to the Mississippi River.

See those little holes all the way at the top? Those are the windows you look out when you take the tram ride to the top.
Wasn't too long of a walk to get to the Riverboat area.

Seems like we were all patiently waiting at one time or another. But between us we got some pretty great shots!!
Yay! We finally made it!
We had to wait for them to let us board.
We did have fun watching the helicopter tours take off while we waited.
We couldn't have had a better view or a nicer day!!

Had some excitement after we boarded when a helicopter flew right by us.
We got a seat up top and we started down the Mississippi River. A first for all of us as none of us has ever been on a boat down the Mississippi. Our views were amazing!!
What an awesome trip! I probably shouldn't have been but was surprised to see all of the homeless tents along the river. Was great learning about everything though and I think we all really enjoyed it.
Now to climb back up those stairs....

Made it to the entrance and getting ready to head in.
We stopped at the front desk and got our junior ranger book to fill out and headed in. This place is phenomenal. The areas you were able to look at and all of the history it gave you. WOW! I was truly impressed and was definitely not expecting this!
It was finally time to head to the tram and board. We were all excited. Teresa was a little nervous.
They only allow so many to go up at a time and we patiently waited our turn. It was finally our turn to go to the elevators to take us in the pods :)
While we were waiting they had an awesome video playing on the doors of the elevators. It was very educational and they added a lot of fun interesting stuff for kids.
The doors oenened and it was time to get in. So cool!!
The ride to the top was definitely NOT one of Teresa's favorite parts of the day, LOL. The rest of us thought it was pretty neat :)
Made it to the top with no issues. Teresa was thankful to be getting out!! Up the stairs to the top!!
Oh man.....the view up here was amazing!!
Then we switched sides to look out over the river! Wow I would definitely come up here again.
Back down to our pod 8 to head back to the bottom.
Walking through the rest of the exhibits and finishing up our Junior Ranger Booklet.
Back to the front desk to stamp our book and Garrett got his Junior Ranger Badge.
Walking to The Old Spaghetti Warehouse we got some additonal pictures from a different viewpoint.
Teresa's first time eating here and it was soooo good!!
Alas, our time in St. Louis has come to an end. It's been such a great day!!
It didn't take long once we got home for this little boys head to hit the pillow and fall fast asleep. I hope he's dreaming of all the adventures we've had and all the adventures still to come. Sweet dreams.....
