Today was a bit of a down day for us. Tim was tired so I let him rest and took Garrett down to the playground. We are staying at the KOA in St. Mary's Montana and the playground here was awesome! My view while Garrett plays. After the playground it had started warming up some so I let him go the pool for a little bit. The water was freezing!! They said it was supposed to be heated but this was definitely not. O-well Garrett still seemed to enjoy it. Tim came over to swim with him and Garrett wanted to jump in with his dad. Garrett pulled a fast one on him and Tim jumped in and Garrett did not. You should have seen his face when he realized how cold the water was. So funny!! Tim quickly made his way over to the hot tub and Garrett followed him in. Much better!! On our way back to the tent we found a butterfly on a leaf. Garrett getting in an afternoon nap :) That afternoon we decided to head up to Many Glacier which is another spot in the park some people don't get to. I guess they have free range cattle here too!! On our way up we stopped and took a picture of what the glaciers here are all about and how they think they will soon be gone. Sure was a pretty ride though!! Here is a close up of one of the glaciers. Then all of a sudden out of a nowhere a freaking Moose runs out in the road in front of us. I keep saying how we are getting so lucky with finding the animals!! Look at all those evergreen trees!! We drove through the campground while we were here. We had initially thought about staying in this campground instead of the KOA. About a week before we arrived they shut it down to all tent and popup campers. Only hard side vehicles are allowed right now due to the high activity of bears in the area. So it shouldn't come as a surprise to learn that on our way out we saw a BEAR!! How awesome is that!! It was a black bear, and it wasn't very big, but still. Garrett was so excited!! What a perfect way to end our day!!
