All in all it was a really fun day and I'm so glad we got to spend time with my family!!
Today my Nephew Josh turns 17. Wow, time sure is flying by!! I'm so proud of this kid. He is a straight A student with a 4.0 GPA. He has a love for travel almost as bad as I do :) I've really enjoyed watching him grow and become the person he is today. To celebrate your Birthday I've decided to give you a blast from your past :) To celebrate Josh's Birthday we went to Scene 75 in Dayton. We had lunch first and then cake. Josh has a love for Harry Potter, which I can relate to :) So he wanted a Harry Potter Birthday cake. I think it turned out great!! While my sister Joyce was cutting the cake I was having fun taking funny pictures of our family. I am glad that we all like to have fun and let loose sometimes!! Myself and the Birthday Boy!! I love this kid so much and I hope he knows that. I'm so glad we were able to be here to help him celebrate this special occasion. Especially, since you only turn 17 once :) Happy Birthday Josh!! I love you!! So after everyone was done eating, presents were opened, and the cake was devoured we were all ready to head out and enjoy the arcade area of Scene 75. I've never been here before and for a 4 year old it's pretty exciting!! We first started off playing some games and then headed to the go-karts. Garrett could ride with me, and this was his first time in a go-kart. I've not driven a go-kart for years, probably 15, so it's been awhile. There were about 10 go-karts and I was the slowest of all of them, LOL. I can't help it, must be the mom in me ;) Garrett really liked it, and was pretty annoyed with me that we were getting passed by the other cars. He kept saying "Go Mom, Go"....... We then headed to the jump zone. I didn't realize that you had to be a certain height to go on the fun ones 42" and Garrett is only 40". He tried to get on a couple of things including this one with the ball swinging in the middle. But then one of the workers told him he had to go to the toddler area. He did not like that one bit.....the slides aren't near as big and it's all kids that are about 2 years old. Poor kid, he came up to me after about 10 minutes of playing and said "all done". I honestly couldn't blame him much. He knows what the other big ones are about, and the toddler area wasn't near as exciting. We then found a kids area, which had a basketball hoop that was Garrett's size. Needless to say we spent over an hour in this area so he could shoot hoops. They did have a pretty cool zombie game with water as well so occasionally I could get him to stop playing basketball and play that with me instead. We did have a lot of fun though!! I noticed he was starting to get really tired, so we went and checked out to get his prizes for his tickets. We were spending the weekend with Josh, Alisha and Kayley and we all headed back to their house after we were done. We got home and Garrett felt a bit warm to me. He was so exhausted. I gave him some ibuprofen and he pretty much didn't move from my lap for the rest of the night. I was pretty tired to, and at one point woke myself up snoring. It was so hilarious!! Time to head to bed :)
All in all it was a really fun day and I'm so glad we got to spend time with my family!!
