First stop.....Artistic Nail RI at Hair Designs. I went inside and asked if there was anyone that could also do an eyebrow wax on me and they quickly fit me in. The woman that did it was so nice and friendly and she did a great job. I went back out to the waiting room and they finally called me in to get my pedicure and manicure. Ah, sweet bliss!! The nail people weren't very talkative and seemed like they just wanted to get on with the business of nails. O-well, at least my nails look good. What do you think? Not too shabby :)
Shannon at Fringe Salon had a Groupon special for a Haircut, Highlight and Style. She did such a great job and was so pleasant to talk to. For a Mom that is home all day long with a 2 year old it was wonderful to have a conversation with another woman. If you are looking for someone to do up your hair, she is the girl for you!! She even offered to give me the same Groupon deal if I come back before we leave the area. How awesome is that!! I told her that I wanted lighter highlights because Garrett is sandy blonde. Showed her a picture of my little guy and she offered some suggestions and I told her that whatever she thought was best. I LOVE my new haircut and color. The salon itself is pretty new, they just had their opening I believe in February. It is very chic and stylish and they know their stuff. I definitely think I will be back before we leave. All you Travel Nurses that come to this area and need a cut, color or style, you need to head over and see them!! Here's some before photos of what my hair did look like.
Garrett, Grandma and Tim were having some fun of their own while I was gone.
