Tim had to work today and the staff decided to have a carry in for the holiday. So I made him the Oriental Salad and Stuffed Celery. Earlier in the week I made the decision that just because it was going to be Garrett and I there was no reason why we still couldn't have a Thanksgiving dinner. So I made a ham in the crockpot, stuffing, deviled eggs, rolls, stuffed celery, oriental salad and pumpkin pie. It was great. The ham in the crockpot turned out wonderful and Garrett and I spent the day watching the Macy's Day Thanksgiving Parade and playing together. I wish we could have been with family, but alas, with traveling fulltime that will sometimes not be the case.
This year we have so much to be thankful for. We are on this crazy journey that is taking us all over the United States traveling together as a family. I am thankful for the family that we don't have with us. We both have a great set of parents and siblings that are rooting for us on this adventure. We have 2 sons that we care for deeply. I could go on and on. I find myself having a more thankful heart since we've, began. So I ask you, what are you thankful for today? He was having fun playing on the floor. At one point he had about 5 pacifiers on the floor because he had gotten in his diaper bag and pulled them all out, LOL. Eating lunch and watching the Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade. He watched the whole thing with me. When singing or a band came on he would look up at it on the television. So cute!! Playing with his Christmas books. Thanksgiving meal is done. Garrett really enjoyed the ham and stuffing. Everything turned out great and was so thankful to be spending the day with my little guy!! Garrett reading his books while I finished up doing dishes. We had a wonderful Thanksgiving day and hope you and your family did as well!!
