I am sure I am not the only mother out there who stresses about her child meeting the milestones. So far Garrett has been doing pretty good. His height and weight are on the low end of the scale but I am short and he wasn't very big when he was born so they say this is normal. Still stresses me out....Every time we have a doctors visit I wonder where he is going to be this time on the scale? The thing is, America has the biggest babies. If I compare him to the babies in Europe or some of the other countries he is right on track. The next thing I stress about, crawling. Now mind you according to the Doctor this isn't even a milestone to be hit. Why do I stress about these things? I often have to remind myself that our little guy is happy, he is for the most part pretty healthy, and so far he has been developing pretty normally. I need to just let go of these things and know that God has a plan for him and I just need to leave it in his hands.
Today was laundry day for me so Tim stayed behind with Garrett so I could go do laundry. Some days I REALLY need laundry day. Today was one of those days. You know, the days where you can feel the pressure building up and you just need to get away for a little while. Yes, I still have those days. Less often but they still happen. So thankfully my husband stayed behind and let me go do my thing. I had a good two hours to myself to rejuvenate. Feeling much better now, so thankful that I have a husband who will tell me to go and get away when I need it!!
