A bunch of nurses along with me and Garrett all headed to Phoenix for a couple days of fun in the sun. We headed out as soon as Tim got home from work, making it to Payson, AZ for lunch around 11 am. We ate at Mike's Fish and Chips and it was sooo good!!
They had quite the extensive menu and it was hard to choose.
Garrett enjoyed watching the fish while we waited for our lunch.
We finished up and headed back out to our hotel in Tempe, AZ. We arrived at Aloft around 2 pm and got the luggage carrier. Garrett of course wanted to help and we left Tim sleeping in the truck with the dogs.
When I first booked I had requested adjoining rooms for us and Teresa.. I had also called a couple of days before we arrived and they said they had us down for that and should have no problems. Well......when we arrived she said they didn't have any adjoining rooms and that they could put us next to each other. Really.....So we hiked up to the 3rd floor, only to realize we weren't next to each other but across from each other.....so back down I went once again to see what they had. This time she said she had it correct and sent me up to the 2nd floor. She was new and said they only had 4 adjoining rooms in the hotel.
Well, Teresa and I talked about it, and we decided to go ask the really nice, wonderful cleaning lady that had actually just given Garrett a bag of chips how many adjoining rooms they had. Upon asking her she said they had 4 adjoining rooms per hall. So back to the desk we went and they actually had a pair of adjoining rooms on the 1st floor that they were able to put us in....geesh!! Needless to say poor Garrett was tired pushing this thing around, LOL.
This wonderful cleaning lady while we once again had to get our keys re-done went and turned on the air in the rooms so it would be cooler in their for us. She was the sweetest person!!

We finally got all of our stuff unloaded. Tim and the dogs out of the truck and in the room resting, and we decided to head down to the pool where Amy and Cindy were to enjoy some pool time!!

We got all cleaned up and ready to go. I got this shot just as Teresa was coming through the door.
On the way out Garrett said Mom look its a bike. Sure enough....
We finally arrived at 12 West Brewing in Downtown Mesa. Lisa was meeting us there and had already gotten a table for all of us. Food was really good and we had great company!!

They had live music that night and we enjoyed listening to it for a little while.
Loved hanging out with everyone and we are really looking forward to more fun tomorrow on the Salt River when we go tubing!!
