Tonight my mom was in horrible pain. She said it felt like her ribs were breaking all over again. She went back to lay in her bed and at about 6:30 she asked me to get a bucket because she was going to be sick. She took her blood pressure which was high and I told her I thought we should call the squad and have her looked at. The squad came and picked her up and about 15 minutes later came back because they said she had high levels of CO in her blood and wanted to check the house for carbon monoxide. Thankfully they didn't find anything!
She was in the ER until about 11:30 that night and come to find out she has Shingles. She did receive the vaccination for it, however, it is still possible for you to get even with the vaccination. Garrett has never had chicken pox and with him just having his surgery I just can't chance him getting the chicken pox with having 3 open incisions so we headed to our house in Cridersville.
We keep our house for Travel Nurse purposes as you are supposed to have a home base while traveling. We got to the house about midnight, Garrett played with some of his toys that were left at the house while I emptied out the car. We then headed to bed as Garrett and I were both exhausted.

We woke up the next morning and Garrett was pretty excited to be able to play with his Christmas train :)
That whole next day it snowed. I love the snow so much!! It just looks so pretty. Here I am taking a picture of our backyard, it looks so pretty!!
There are several rooms that I am not using right now so I put up some blankets over our family room, dining room, and back door to keep the drafts out and help better heat the house.

Last day before Garrett heads to school. Here he is playing some games on the I-pad. This child has the most wild hair I have ever seen on a boy. I try everything to tame it, and nothing seems to work, LOL.
Bath time and then bed. He is having fun playing in a different tub, and different toys :) Tomorrow we go back to school and daycare!!
