Garrett and I went on our daily walk today and came across another Garter Snake. It was neat to watch it in its own habitat. We were far enough away so it wouldn't come at us. We also went for our nightly bike ride, which Garrett fell asleep in the middle of. I turned around to see how he was doing and he was fast asleep. Poor guy hasn't been feeling very well since I think some more teeth are coming in and he was just too tired to resist. Plus I think with the motion of the bike and the wind it was good sleeping conditions for him, LOL.
After eating leftovers I left to go do laundry and Tim gave Garrett his bath and put him to bed. Needless to say, I will not be doing laundry after dark again. Seems like that is when the hoodlums all come out here in Klamath Falls. Several of them standing around the truck, and they just were looking for trouble. I'm so thankful we are out in the country, I feel very safe where we are at.
I've also been researching areas to go for our next assignment. We prefer to not have to travel a long distance if we can help it. But I also do not want to be below 35 degrees at night either, I'd like to not have to worry about freezing weather. Looks like most of the coastline of Oregon and Washington would be ok as long as we can stay close to the water. Seattle would also be another option for us. I know most of you are saying already, but October will be here before we know it and we usually start looking about 4 weeks out since his contract ends November 1. We do know we will not be staying in Klamath Falls too much snow and it gets very cold in the winter here.
