This morning we got up early to be ready for when Tim came home. I'm not sure who was more excited about going on vacation. Myself or Garrett :)

Starting out I was the person driving while Tim slept. I probably drove for a good 4 hours. So not a lot of pictures during that time!!
We were getting hungry so we stopped at Rutherford's Diner. It was really good food and they had a cool rock garden and memorial for veterans. A great stop for us!!
Tim found some diesel that was a lot cheaper than most of what we were finding if we stayed on the interstate. So we came off the beaten path for a bit and actually ended up in Nevada.....
Sure was a pretty drive though!!

The scenery coming across was just beautiful!!
We finally arrived at the Ayres Hotel in Barstow, CA. We checked into our room and decided to walk across to eat dinner at Oggi's. It was very good. We got back to our hotel and Garrett had a great night playing in the tub. We sure do miss having one!!

So far our trip has been great. Can't wait till tomorrow when we arrive at my Aunt Grace's!!
