This week I'm down to 180.4, so close to the 170's!! This means I'm down 1.8 lbs for the week and a total of 56.8 lbs for 4 months. When we went shopping at Goodwill there was a pair of size 14 pants that had the tags still on them. I let negative self talk get in my head and thought "no way" I'm not going to be able to fit into those. Tim looked at me and said you never know unless you try and threw them in the basket for me to at least attempt to put on. I threw in several size 18's, some 16's and Tim threw in another size 14 that he found. I then headed to the dressing room and I have to be honest, I was dreading it a little bit. I didn't want to "fail" and not fit into those size 14's. I have a problem with putting myself down and I'm trying really hard to change that about myself. So I went into the dressing room and started with the size 18's. I mean I wanted to be in the "safe zone". I put the 18 jeans on and wouldn't you know it they were too big.....back on the rack they go. Next up size 16......they were just right. But I knew I still needed to try those size 14's......Well look at that, I could get them up past my hips. Hmmmm I wonder if I can zip and button them up. Holy crap!! I can fit into a size 14. Now mind you, I won't be wearing them now, they are still a bit snug, but within a month I will probably be in them since I'm losing over 10 lbs every months. How exciting, I can't remember the last time I was in a size 14 pants. From a size 22/24 to a size 14/16, woohoo!!
What a great week!! As most of you are aware Tim has reached his goal weight and is now in maintenance. His initial goal was 170 lbs but once he got down to that he decided he wanted to lose an additional 5 lbs to hit 165. Since hitting goal and being in transition he's been staying right around 162/163 lbs. I'm so proud of him and all that he has accomplished!! Earlier this week we went shopping for new clothes. Tim's previous pants were a size 38 and now he is in a size 34. He said he couldn't believe it. He hasn't been in a size 34 since high school which was over 30 years ago!! Needless to say he is pretty happy and feeling great!! From the old to the new....... It's amazing when you look at the pictures when we first started to now and how much older he looked then. I believe he's added years to his life by getting this weight off and feeling better!! This week I'm down to 180.4, so close to the 170's!! I'm loving myself a lot more, gaining more confidence as I go. This program has helped us get our lives back, has helped me become a better mom, wife and a better person and for that I am grateful!! Week 17 done.....week 18 here I come!!
