This afternoon we headed over to Cape Cod to get on the Hyannis Whale Watcher Cruises. This was everyone's first time and we were all very excited!! Our view after we boarded the boat. Lots of people on board. According to the Captain it was a full vessel. We decided to get an inside seat at a table and Tim and his mom headed downstairs to grab everyone some Lunch. While waiting Garrett was having a great time playing with his trucks. Getting ready to head out to sea. Lots of other boats seem to be going in that direction as well :) While heading out we passed by several houses and lighthouses along the way. By this point we were going pretty fast. Garrett was loving it!! He would open his mouth to let the wind in. It was so funny!! Passing by the Lighthouse. Our wake behind us. So pretty!! Here comes the Coast Guard. Garrett had a great time waving to them and other boaters :) Lots of people out enjoying their day on the water. Garrett and I were sure enjoying our day out on the water!! Garrett was absolutely loving it :) Not sure my hair was enjoying it though, LOL. This man that Linda was talking with goes on the Whale Watching tours several times a week. Today this was his 2nd trip out. He said he loves to watch them. Garrett was having fun teasing the kids on the other side of the window. Garrett and I headed downstairs to look around. While we were gone Tim headed around to take pictures of the boat. More lighthouses, and people who were driving on the beach. Looks like some of these people were even camping. After we got past the land the waters started getting pretty rough. Garrett and I came back upstairs. We then heard them announce to start looking because some whales were spotted in the area. So exciting!! Then all of a sudden they tell you to look at 10 oclock. There in the distance you could see them. Blowing through their blow holes. Gracefully swimming. It was the most beautiful thing!! Until you see them close up. I can honestly say it was the most magical thing I've ever seen. Sometimes they were in pods together, other times you would only see one. Some of them would be playing and looking like they were waving at you or doing barrel rolls. What I can tell you is that if you've never done it, definitely put in on your must do list. They are the most graceful animals. I'll let the pictures do the justice!! Unfortunately, I didn't get to catch the whole show.....Garrett had yet to take his nap and by this time it was about 3:30/4:00. He was getting cranky and tired so we headed back inside to our seats and within minutes he was sleeping on my lap. Of course the rolling of the waves on the boat helped lull him to sleep. I was thankful that we got to see what we did though and that Tim took excellent pictures and video for me to view later. Eventually I laid him on the seat for a better rest. On our way back to the dock, Tim continued to go around and take pictures. We see land!! That means we are getting close. The ride back was so relaxing that even I took a short nap :) Slowly making our way to the dock to tie up. Took about 15 minutes for everyone to unload off the boat. We wanted to be one of the last ones off so we could take photos :) Tim's mom coming off the boat. We asked one of the workers on the boat where to go for our Dinner and she recommended Spanky's Clam Shack so that is where we headed. Food was soooo good!! Tim had the Lobster and Linda and I had the Salmon. Yummy!! The other great thing was being able to sit outside and watch all the boats going by. Definitely a great place to eat!! On our way back to the truck we walked along the Boardwalk there in Hyannis. It was so pretty and we really enjoyed watching all the boats going by. Cape Cod one of my new favorite places :) We ended up getting home around 11:30 PM. But what a great day we had!! Everything was awesome. Can't wait to do it all again :)
