Oh man, my little boy's first broken heart from a girl....there is another family down the way from us and they have several children. One of the girls is close in age to Garrett. He was down there playing and she said some pretty hurtful things to him. Next thing I know he's crying running down the road to me. Oh man breaks my heart. He climbed up in my lap and sobbed himself to sleep :( She did later come down and tell Garrett she was sorry for being mean :)
While I was sitting with him I watched a bird transform a puddle into his own bird bath :)
The next day myself, Garrett and Lane all went to the Albuquerque Zoo. They were having Zoo Boo. So much fun trick or treating while seeing all the animals and playing the games!!
We were able to say hi to the Minions!!
Bumblebee the Transformer was super cool!!
Was even able to play a couple games. Garrett did great at the ring toss!!
We had lunch and decided to check out some of the animals. The giraffe's were really giving us a good show!!
The Polar Bear was really enjoying his water!!
Garrett wanted to ride the carousel and Lane was going to go on it with him. Unfortunately we had a family being jerks that tried to cut in line. We had words with him and Lane went to get a security guard so I ended up taking Garrett on the carousel. I don't know why people feel like they are so entitled. It kind of dampered our day :( Thankfully right after that we went to look at the monkey's and they brightened our spirits :)
It was still a fun day though!! We left right before they were getting ready to close as we didn't want to get stuck in traffic. Loved seeing the animals and would definitely go back on a day when there weren't as many people!!
