We got everyone in the car around 9 AM. Garrett and Bailey ready to tackle an 8 hour day of riding.
Today we are heading back to Cridersville, Ohio. No we still don't know where Tim is going to be working and yes it is stressing me out!! I don't want to think about it though because I know this trip home is going to be amazing!! Tonight we will be driving to Winnemucca, NV where we will stop at a Passport America Campground for the night. We got everyone in the car around 9 AM. Garrett and Bailey ready to tackle an 8 hour day of riding. Almost all of the route we are taking today is just a 2 lane highway. It was uneventful and a very beautiful drive along the way. We were surprised that we didn't see more wildlife along the way. We loved being in Oregon. The state itself is just so beautiful!! We are so thankful to have this amazing opportunity to be traveling like we are. So often we hear other people say they are living their dream of traveling by watching our blog. I know some of the pictures aren't the greatest but it is so hard to delete them because of the memories we are making. For Lunch we stopped at the Happy Horse in Lakeview. It was OK. Not the best food we've ever had but definitely not the worst either. It was nice to be able to get out and stretch our legs a bit. After we were done eating we headed back to the RV and parked next to us was a Motorhome. They came out with their Standard Poodle and talked to us for a bit. Garrett was fascinated at how big their tires were, LOL. So many wonderful people we have met through our travels. After checking our tires and talking with them we decided it was time for us to hit the road again. Today's drive will take approximately 307 miles to get there. My hubby doing a fine job driving the truck with the RV. We've definitely crossed some beautiful land today!! We made a stop at a rest area along the way. It was amazing during our drive how desolate it felt we were. There weren't very many cars along the way. Out at this rest stop everything was so quiet. I even mentioned something to Tim about it while we were standing outside. Garrett had fun stretching his legs and running about. So different from our first long haul trip from Ohio to Tucson when he was just 5 months old. Now we just hand back snacks in a bag for him when he gets hungry. No more worries of having to stop and bottle feed him. I can't say enough about how good of a traveler he is. Only about another hour before we finally get to our destination. So interesting how quickly the land can change around you. At about 6 PM we finally arrived at New Frontier RV Park. It was such a nice park. We would highly recommend this RV Park if you are ever in the Winnemucca, NV area. We ate at Wingers Roadhouse Grill and Bar and the food was just mediocre. The restaurant was definitely not something that we would recommend. I am sure there are so many better alternatives. Heading to bed early as we have another long day ahead of us tomorrow.
