Needless to say that Friday night and the next 1/2 day on Saturday at home were horrible for me. The contractions still were too far apart but they were so painful and seemed to last much longer than the minute they were supposed to. Finally again I could take no more and told Tim we have to go back to the hospital. Once again headed up to the Labor and Delivery floor and this time the decision was made to keep me. After they broke my water it was realized that the baby actually had his first bowel movement before being delivered which was causing stress for both himself and me. They gave me Pitocin to speed up the delivery and after an hour of pushing our little guy was finally born on August 4, 2013. He weighed in at 6 lbs 13 oz. In my eyes he was perfect.
Starting Thursday night I was beginning to have contractions. They weren't too intense but enough to know that something was different with them this time. As time went on through the night they began to get more intense and I was very excited as I believed that we were going to be having a baby shortly. Friday morning came and Tim and I went for a walk to see if we could get my labor going a little more. We also drove to Wapakoneta for breakfast and then came back home. My contractions at this time were a little more intense and I had been awake for over 24 hours so I was trying to sleep in between, which was very difficult. Then as suddenly as they began they started to slow down which was strange because they didn't feel like Braxton Hicks contractions as these were extremely painful. They went from being every 7-8 minutes to almost 15 minutes apart. So we waited through most of the day Friday and I finally couldn't take it anymore and decided to head to the hospital. We got to Lima Memorial and they took me up to the Labor and Delivery floor and started monitoring me. They decided that I wasn't far enough along and sent me home.
