The drive into Providence for us isn't bad at all and there wasn't a whole lot of traffic to deal with.
This morning we headed out to Providence Children's Museum. Because we are members at Boonshoft Museum they have reciprocity benefits for other places which is huge for us. So today we got in for no charge due to the Association of Science and Technology Center reciprocity. Woohoo!! The drive into Providence for us isn't bad at all and there wasn't a whole lot of traffic to deal with. Welcome to Rhode Island!! Driving through Providence. Heading into the Children's Museum!! So many fun things......what to do first?? First stop was to experiment with a vacuum system. They had balls and scarves you could put in and watch them go through and fly out at the end. The kids were having a great time playing with it and Garrett got pretty good at realizing how to get the balls and scarves in. The next room we went into was where they had all the experiments having to do with water. Garrett had a blast!! Next up the Noodle Room, actually I have no idea what it was called but they did have noodles, so...... We then headed upstairs, and that's when he saw it. The Tonka trucks. He was ecstatic!! After that it was hard to get him to go anywhere else. He was having so much fun playing with the trucks!! Peekaboo, I see you :) Hmmm, I wonder what's behind these doors??? So Cool!! Heading upstairs to explore!! First thing we see when we get upstairs.....a Construction Site. Garrett was in LOVE!! We spent over an hour playing in this area :) We finally got him to move on to the next thing in the Museum. Believe me it was NOT easy. He kept wanting to go back to the trucks after that. The next had many different rooms with different themes. It would be better for older kids as they had play clothes you could try on and other things that the bigger kids would enjoy. We finally found an area that took his mind off the trucks, at least for a little while. They had a kids play area for children under 5. They had a cave, and a slide, and a ton of things for the kids to play on. Garrett had a blast and found a couple other kids to play with. That was so much fun!! Mom needs a break :) Getting ready to head back downstairs!! Headed outside for more fun play!! Well that lasted for a second, LOL. Guess where we are headed? Yep, back upstairs to the construction area. I don’t mind though he is having fun and if that is where he really wants to play why not let him!! Getting ready to head out. So many cool things here at the Providence Children's Museum!! Goodbye Children's Museum, until next time..... Heading out of Providence to go to where we are staying during July and August for our campsite!! Look at that BIG blue bug!! Wow!! What a beautiful building. Such a pretty drive to get there!! Where we will be camping for the months of July and August. Whispering Pines Campground in Rhode Island. Checking out our future site!!
