Oct 21 - This morning after Tim got home from work we loaded up the utility trailer and headed out. We got a pretty late start but will try to make it to Amarillo.
Thank goodness this child likes to travel!! He was excited to be hitting the road again.
We finally left around 1 pm. We had 1 issue that a trucker let us know one of our straps had come loose. It was a quick fix and back on the road again. We got to the hotel in Amarillo around 9 pm that night and we had 1 tired dog!!
Oct 22 - Garrett was happy to be able to jump on a bed again :)

Tim did a great job packing the utility trailer.
While we were driving Garrett was watching the Dino Dana movie. He will play this song and sing it, then rewind it and do it all over again. He probably did it 20 times. This is one of the times I got on video of him singing to it.

Stopped at a gas station to stretch our legs.
The gas station we stopped at saw that Tim had on a veteran hat. They gave him all of our drinks for free because of it and were so nice. I would highly recommend this place to anyone traveling through Oklahoma!!

Oct 23 - The futon you saw in the living room area was not ours and will actually be going to another tenant here at Gypsy Villas. So today we went out looking for a couch. On our way driving down our road we saw a turtle just laying in the middle. Since turtle week just happened Tim picked it up to show Garrett and help move it across the road so it wouldn't get hit.
Someone was tired. Traveling does that to ya :)
Oct 24 - Garrett has been sleeping on that futon. Well this morning he went to get up and slipped and came down on the arm of the futon. Gave him a nice bruise on his face. Its always his face.....
We decided to head to Little Rock to look for a couch and fridge. The drive there was so beautiful. Lots of curves, pretty trees, puke...wait what?? Yep, we think the curves caused Sassy to have an upset stomach and she puked up what can only be described as putrid poop or what was the worst smelling stuff I have ever smelled. Thank Goodness for Tim and his strong stomach. Thankfully I was able to get out of that stinky smell and let her out while Tim cleaned it up it was soooo gross!!

Where we had dinner they had alligator bites so we got them as an appetizer and Garrett of course gobbled them all up!!

Oct 25 - Out with the old and in with the new. Much bigger!!

Our new couch is so nice. It even has the recliners on the end. Garrett slept on it last night since his room up in the loft area isn't done yet.
This is going to be Garretts room. We need to get up there and clean it up, we are going to put down some carpet and make steps going up to it that will help with safety as well as storage.
Lots of acreage to explore. Sassy was having a great time.

It goes downhill along the grass. Garrett doesn't push his brakes while he's going down. So frustrating for me because he doesn't listen and ends up going out in the weeds.
He got tired of that so he decided to roll down the hill in front of our cabin.
We then headed out to Lowes to get some wood for making the steps for Garretts room. Garrett sure loves to help in that department.
Oct 26 - Normally I would do laundry in the main house here at Gypsy Villas, however, the washer is broken so that means we had to go into town and do laundry. Today was raining so we wouldn't be able to cut wood so we might as well get it done today.
Oct 27 - Today it rained all day long. It was nice hearing the rain on the metal roof. We just chilled out at home, watched some movies and cooked lasagna in our new convection oven we bought. Was just a chill out day!!
Oct 28 - This morning it was cold and wet but we thought we might be able to get some of the stairs done. While we were getting ready Garrett was outside playing with the cats.

Very foggy this morning. Keeping fingers crossed that the rain stays away, doesn't look like it though.....
We started cutting the wood and about 30 minutes later it started to rain.....so needless to say it all got put away. I don't think we are going to be finishing the steps or Garretts room on this trip :(
Looks like another day of chillin out. Garrett was having fun laying on the carpet and playing with his toys.
Oct 29 - This morning we headed out to vote. We waited in line for maybe 5 minutes before it was our turn and Garrett got to see how we vote.
Looks like we've got a couple of tuckered out kids!!
The rest of the day was spent getting the trailer ready and packing everything away to leave in the morning.

We got to our hotel for the night. While I was checking in, Tim had taken Garrett and Sassy across the road to go to the bathroom. Garrett has a habit of rolling around on the ground. Well this time when he did he ended up rolling around in a bunch of goat heads. He never told Tim he had this all over his body, and when he saw me he started crying. I asked him what was wrong and then I saw.....it was all over him even stuck to his skin on his back and belly. Poor kid, I felt so bad for him.
We got him cleaned up and took him down to the pool to play.
Oct 31 - We woke up that morning and headed out. Looks like they got some snow in Amarillo.

We stopped at this gas station in New Mexico that also had a museum inside. It was actually pretty cool looking at some of the stuff and Garrett and Tim both really liked the old cars.
New Mexico sure is beautiful!!
Happy Halloween!! Unfortunately because of Covid we can't go trick or treating but Garrett still had fun dressing up :)
Was a nice trip home. We didn't get some stuff done that we wanted to get done, but that just means we need to come back sooner than later :)
