Today is our first day in Phoenix. We have to drop off our U-Haul and Tim needs to get some medical items done before he starts his Travel Nursing assignment on December 3. We headed out around 11 AM and it was so neat to see all of the different cactus and Palm Trees. Tim is staying at his Dad's house while on assignment in Phoenix. We haven't seen his father for almost 14 years so we are both very excited to be staying with him during this time. Myself, Tim and Tim's dad Howard all went and ate lunch at a place called The Codfather. They had very good fish. I had a Cod Sandwich with fries. You can tell that they care about their city. I can't believe all of the flowers that are in bloom. It was 84 degrees today after the sun came out. I think I may even be getting a bit of a tan on my face and arms. We then headed to the Medical Center where Tim had to get a TB test and also his flu shot. There is a picture where a tree is growing in the middle of a bush. It was so strange. After Tim was done doing his medical tests we decided to go and look at the Hospital he would be working at. The Hospital is Banner Health Boswell Hospital. His contract is for 13 weeks and it is in Sun City, AZ. It looks to be in a very nice neighborhood with several retirement communities surrounding it. The drive will probably be about 20 minutes from where Tim is staying so not too bad. It was still pretty early so Howard asked if we would like to drive up one of the mountains in the area. We both said sure so he took us up to South Mountain Park/Preserve. We passed the Arizona Cardinals Stadium and also drove around downtown Phoenix. It was very windy and twisty to get to the top with very little guard rails on the side. Once we got to the top it was so beautiful to see the city line of Phoenix. We then headed back and decided to eat Greek for the night. We ate at Chicago Gyros and I had a Souvlaki Plate and it was very good. We then decided to call it a night and headed home. Looking forward to having Thanksgiving tomorrow with Tim's family.

Hi Derek, It was one of the busiest hospitals I have ever worked at in the ER. Staff was excellent.
