Today we measured the outside of the RV along with the slide outs to figure out what we needed for insulation for the RV. Here in Klamath Falls it will get cold, sometimes in the teens and we want to be sure we are as best prepared as we can be for this type of weather.
We headed out to the laundromat first (my next RV will have a washer/dryer in it)!! Then on to Home Depot to pick up the supplies we needed. First stop was the insulation aisle. There we picked up the insulation we needed to skirt the bottom of the RV along with the foil tape to attach it to the RV with.

There we picked up the insulation we needed to skirt the bottom of the RV along with the foil tape to attach it to the RV with.
Next stop was the heat tape aisle for our water hose. We will wrap this around our water hose so our water doesn't freeze during the winter. We also purchased a pipe wrap to put on the hose as well.
We are going to wait and see how the black/grey sewer hose does. If it freezes we may get heat tape for that as well but we think that should be ok. Our underbelly is already heated so when we run the furnace that should heat that area. We also have plans to build a bike storage PVC unit. We should have no problem storing our bikes and keeping them out of the elements. Here is an example of what we want to build.
So hopefully we will be able to get all of this finished up before snow starts falling. Tomorrow the plan is to get up all the insulation as well as the heat tape.
Garrett did have time to play this morning since we didn't leave till after lunch. He is getting so big and eating so well for us. He really likes his crackers (although most end up on the floor) and has not been a picky eater for us at all.
