Bear Sighting - Glacier National Park Day 4

This was our view from where our tents were. This was what we got up to every morning. Isn't it so beautiful!! Unfortunately, when Tim, Teresa and Garrett got up this morning all of them weren't really feeling well. Hopefully it's nothing....

Looks like today is going to be another foggy day. We got on the Going to the Sun Road and kept our fingers crossed that it was open today. The fog was pretty thick as you can see from these pictures that I took. The further up you went the worse it got......

We made it to the other side with no problem and did a little shopping while in Apgar Village. Garrett was sad because I told him he couldn't have something ;)

After lunch and shopping we decided to go the long way around to Two Medicine. Teresa hadn't been to that part of the National Park yet. It sure is beautiful with the fog!!

Well that's one way to leave your shoes while hiking.....

Garrett had money left over from his birthday from Grandma Sutton. So today he picked this truck. Mom and Dad may have thrown a couple of dollars in so he could get it. He played with it for the next several days.

Of course we had to take Teresa's picture at the sign with different poses. I mean isn't that what everyone does???

Just taking our time heading back when all of a sudden I see something black close to the road. I yell out, a BEAR!!  Right there next to the road is a big black bear eating. Oh my goodness, we watched him for probably 15 minutes just enjoying his day. It was so AWESOME!! To be this close to a bear that you could hear it eating. No we didn't get out of the truck, Tim was able to use the sunroof to get some of these really good shots. It was just amazing. A memory I will carry for the rest of my life!!

Look at his ears turned back. He's listening to us without a care in the world. I was so amazed that he just stayed here while we were less than 25 feet from him. He just continued eating but was listening to make sure we weren't going to harm him. Garrett was so excited. We all were!!

I think these are the same wild horses we saw when we were here back in July. They are so pretty!!

Isn't the moon backdrop just so gorgeous!!

Time to end our day as we will be packing up and leaving tomorrow :(

​I want to send our condolences out to that family. It was a horrible accident and I just can't imagine. I'm so sorry :(
