Merry Christmas!! Happy Birthday Jesus!! Who came last night and visited us in our RV.....well Santa of course. He brought Garrett a sled to go sledding while we are here in Oregon. Our little guy actually woke up around 7:30 this morning and had some bananas and cinnamon rolls for breakfast. Because he doesn't quite understand what Christmas is yet we don't have to rush right into opening presents. Garrett was watching the Frozen Christmas Parade at Walt Disney World. He was watching it so intensely that I decided to go around the other side of the island and get some pictures of him. He caught me :) Realized that the sled was something he could reach and then checking to see if I was still watching him. He did continue to watch Disney's Frozen Parade though. Things kept popping up to catch his eyes. Trying to get a family picture with a dog and 16 month old is not very easy!! I know everyone tries to get the perfect family picture, but I love this one. Something caught both Garrett and Bailey's attention and they were looking at it at the same time. Getting ready to open presents. Because Garrett was so fascinated with the tree, we decided to have him open his gifts at the couch. We first read the story of Jesus's birth out of Garrett's children's bible. It is our tradition to always read about the birth, but I really enjoyed reading it from a child's perspective!! Garrett was finished with his gifts so it was time for mine and Tim's. While we were opening ours. Garrett had fun playing with his new Christmas presents. He really liked the boy doll his Grandma got him. It will be fun to show him the fingers and toes and help him learn all of the body parts. Bailey got a Christmas present too!! Garrett wanting some of Daddy's deoderant. Garrett continued to play with his toys that he got. He loved all of them so much and wasn't sure which one to play with next :) Next it was my turn to open presents. Talking to Big Brother Ryan on the phone. After we finished talking with Ryan we spoke with Grandma Sutton, Uncle Scott and Aunt Lynnette. Sounds like everyone was having a wonderful Christmas!! Garrett decided to play with his toys and talk at the same time. Finally time for me to start making Christmas Dinner. Ham, Mashed Potatoes with Gravy, Stuffing, Rolls, Green Bean Casserole, Cranberry Jelly, and Pickled Beets. Yummy, who says you can't cook a big meal in a RV!! Yes, I know it's still Christmas but with limited room and Garrett having so many new things the tree had to come down. Where we put it is where his toy box and toys normally go. So after Garrett went down for his afternoon nap all of the decorations came down and the toy box was put back in it's normal spot. We hope everyone had a wonderful Christmas. Can't wait to see what the new year brings!!
