We started our day by going to Old Town San Diego and eating lunch at a Mexican Restaurant that was recommended. The food was very good and they even had a person singing and playing his instrument. We've been giving Garrett water and iced tea from a straw so that is now his favorite thing to have. Here are a couple of pictures of me giving him his drink. We finished up lunch and headed downtown since we were going to take the ferry across to Coronado Island. Here is the aircraft carrier USS Midway. We are hoping we have time to go on this while we are here. Waiting for the ferry. This will be Garrett's first time on a boat. He seems pretty interested in the water and what is going on around him. On the ferry. Garrett seems to be enjoying the boat. The bay was beautiful. We saw several ships and sailboats. They also have a military base on Coronado Island and there were several large military vessels docked on the island. Coronado Island!! It was so pretty. Fountain in the middle of the city. Hotel Del Coronado. This hotel is amazing. I highly recommend if you are ever in the area to go visit this while you are here. I would love to stay here for a couple of nights in the summer time. The view is amazing and it is right on the ocean. We stopped at a Pizza Diner on the water before heading back across to San Diego. Tim wanted me to take a picture of the menu to show his dad that yes you can find the Sausage and Peppers Parm still. Unfortunately our camera doesn't take very good night pictures, but here are a couple of San Diego's city lights as we head back across on the ferry. It was a great day spent together!!
