We've been here a little over a week and have yet to really get out and explore. Today is supposed to be a nice day so we thought why not. Let's head towards Gloucester, MA for a day of exploring. Here we are heading towards Boston. Time for a nap :) A lot of traffic for a Saturday. We didn't go through much of Boston, but the little we did go through makes me excited for going and exploring more on a different day!! I didn't realize Boston had so many tunnels throughout their city!! Making our way past the airport!! Making our way along....Yay, I see water.....The Atlantic Ocean finally!! Salem, MA. Another place that I look forward to coming to and exploring in more depth. This area is so rich in history and the buildings are so old. Can't wait to get back to learn more about it!! We stopped in a town called Beverly (you can't go wrong with a town called that since my Mom's name is Beverly) to play at a park, walk the beach and see the Ocean!! It was cold! Here is Tim, Garrett and Bailey heading towards the water. Because of the time of year Bailey is allowed on the beach. She could smell the salt water as soon as we went through Boston and has been whimpering since to get out of the car. She sure loves the ocean!! We've found sand!! Bailey couldn't wait to get in the water!! It was really cold so only for a second. Had to really keep our eyes on Garrett. Most kids are afraid of the waves coming in, not him. He wanted to get right out there and play. Geesh the kid has no fear!! Lots of neat shells and Garrett had fun playing in the sand for a little while. It was so cold though, brrrr!! Rock climbing.....well sort of ;) We then headed over to the play area and Garrett had a great time. Was such a nice little playground and place for the kids to play (plus much warmer than on the water). We were going to take a family picture, but alas, it wasn't meant to be. Tim couldn't figure out the timer on the new camera. Guess we have some serious learning to do!! We finally made it to Gloucester!! Just in time for dinner, hmmmm what to eat?? Lobster sounds yummy!! Got out the Yelp app and we found the Seaport Grill. We got right in with no wait (thank you off season). The inside was decorated really cute. Because it was so cold they had the patio covered so you couldn't really see out. I bet when the weather starts getting warmer and they take that off the view is amazing!! Tim and Garrett looking over the menu. Our boy was hungry!! Here he is just finishing up a whole roll ;) Ok I'm ready bring me food!! A roll in one hand and a pickle in the other, LOL. Now, Garrett you know daddy isn't the Lobster, hee hee hee!! Tim being forked :) Yes, that is Garrett's portion size in front of Tim. Needless to say Bailey who was waiting out in the car got a nice treat after we were done eating dinner!! All ready for lobster!! Lobster!! It was so good!! I'd still prefer crab meat but you can't get a lot of that over here so I'll take Lobster for now. You can buy your own at the grocery store for about $10 bucks. Not sure how much they would be right off the boat, but I bet they'd be good eating.
