Friday we headed up to Medford and Ashland. We needed to go to Medford and get Tim some new work shoes and I wanted to go to REI store and get some new hiking boots for myself. After we finished up in Medford we headed over to Ashland to visit another fulltime Travel Nursing family, The Johnsons.
Ashland is beautiful, we ate at a Pizza Joint downtown and the area is somewhere we definitely would like to come back to and work if they ever have any openings. We then headed over to visit with Hyrum and Tiana Johnson. It was nice to be able to sit down and talk with another family who is doing the same thing we are. They also have a RV that they are traveling in and he is the RN Nurse. They are from Oregon and gave us so much good information about what to do while we are here. We spent a couple of hours visiting with them but then decided it was time to head home since it was starting to get dark. Thank you to the Johnson's for having us over it was so nice to finally meet another family doing the same thing!!
Our ride home was definitely interesting. The scenery was AMAZING!! This state is so beautiful. Our GPS took us on a back road home which would have been fine had it not been dusk. The deer were definitely out and wandering. Thankfully they weren't running yet just kind of meandering around. We are definitely going to do this drive again but in the daytime when we can see.
The next day we were getting ready to leave to go to the Farmers Market in Klamath Falls. Tim was doing some things at the truck when all of a sudden a snake came sliding out from underneath. He went to the front and noticed that on our way home we must have hit a bat as well. Geesh, we are definitely getting our quota in for seeing animals while we are here, LOL.
