They had a big bucket on the pirate ship and when it filled up it would dump down on you. While I was up I accidently stood under it forgetting about it and got dumped on. Garrett thought that was hilarious!!

This morning we got up and headed out to our breakfast at Storytellers Cafe at the Disneyland Resort. We uber'd it over because when we went to get into our truck there were ants everywhere!! Yuck!! We will deal with that later, on to our breakfast reservation!! Garrett was so excited to see Mickey!! When you first check in to the restaurant they had this on the stand. It was so beautiful!! The restaurant inside was also very pretty!! While we waited Tim went in and took some pictures. We only had to wait about 15 minutes and our name was called. We were seated right at the front. This was the perfect spot!! Not long after we were seated Minnie came by to say Hi!! The first thing Garrett does is give him his autograph book. Then he gets up and takes his picture. He's so darn cute!! Of course I had to get in on the action too :) While we were eating one of the workers came up to Garrett and asked him if he would like to join Mickey's Band. He waited up front which was literally right in front of our table and they gave all the kids these shakers to shake as they walked around the restaurant following the Disney Characters. This by far was one of the best restaurant experiences we've had!! The characters came around first and then the kids followed them. It was so awesome to see Garrett's face. He thought this was the coolest thing!! Right after that out comes Mickey and who's table did he visit first......yep ours!! I told you we had an amazing spot!! Tim mentioned to Garrett to have him sign his Mickey hat. Which of course Mickey happily obliged!! Of all the items his Mickey hat is still his favorite. He was so excited about getting his hat signed that he jumped up and gave Mickey a great big hug! Dale was next to visit. Garrett really enjoyed talking with him. He was really getting into the characters now. Dale really had some fun with Garrett. He even stole his Mickey hat when he realized Mickey had signed it and put it on himself. Garrett LOVED that!! Of all the character interactions this one was definitely the best. Of course Chip came right after Dale. Now that Garrett knew he could put his hat on the characters he was really having fun with it. I can just imagine what some of these people in the character suits are thinking, LOL. Garrett got to join in a 2nd time for Mickey's Mariachi Band. Yes, we even got some time in to eat. Food was good, but the atmosphere is really what makes this place great!! Pluto finished out the characters and Garrett enjoyed playing a good game of peekaboo with him. He wanted me to get in on the action and give him a kiss, of course what lady doesn't love a dog :) Taking a look around the hotel before our Uber driver comes to pick us up. We then headed back to the hotel to spend our late morning around the pool and waterpark. I wish we would have taken a whole day to just relax but we didn't have enough time. This place was great and Garrett had a great time!! He even made a friend which for Garrett is pretty much the norm, LOL. He had brought down two of his super heroes and was sharing them with the other boy. Tim even got in on the action at one point!! They had a big bucket on the pirate ship and when it filled up it would dump down on you. While I was up I accidently stood under it forgetting about it and got dumped on. Garrett thought that was hilarious!! About 2 pm we finally headed over to Disneyland. This time getting through security would take much longer. We probably waited in line for about 40 minutes before we got to the front. Once through though you went right through the gate to get in, so no line there. There were so many Disney photographers out that we decided to take advantage and use our Disney photopass which gives me free downloads of any pictures they take of us for 30 days. The first stop was at the Disney Train Station which you see as soon as you go through the gate!! These pictures were the ones taken with our camera. These were the ones they took. I think both sets turned out nice! They had everything decorated so nicely and there were so many characters and other fun things out. One of the singing groups that we stopped to watch. We decided not to do rides right now as Garrett was soooo tired!! The kids were having a great time dancing and even Garrett got up eventually to join them. We then made our way over to the pumpkin to get our picture taken. Again they had a photographer there taking them. Here are the ones they took with our camera. The ones they took. Then something really special happened!! Disney magic at it's finest :) We saw Goofy taking pictures with people and headed over because we had yet to see him. Unfortunately he was done and was getting ready to take a break. So we were standing and watching him leave. He noticed Garrett and must have realized he didn't get a picture with him. So he took Garrett's hand and began walking with him. It was just so magical because the expression on Garrett's face was amazement. So unlike the normal photos I think these were even better!! Now I remember why I love Goofy best!! I love how the cast members interact with the kids in line. How awesome is that!! I loved all of their Halloween costumes, but Minnie's was my favorite!! We are going to have so much fun at the Halloween party!! These are the photos taken with our camera. These are the ones taken with theirs. It's amazing how quickly they can put up decorations for the Halloween Party. Some of these like the picture below are not up for the regular park days. There were so many characters at the main entrance. Not long after we saw the Queen of Hearts. This is a character you don't normally see, except on nights like tonight. Thankfully we got in to see her right before they shut the line down!! She was so cute with Garrett and even made him give her a kiss, LOL!! We then saw that the Evil Queen was out and headed over to see her, unfortunately we weren't as lucky with that as her line was closed. O-well, you win some you lose some!! Having fun at the fire station. Getting ready to head down Main Street to see what other fun we can find!! While we were walking we heard singing and decided to check it out. It was the Dapper Dans. Oh my goodness these guys are amazing!! Garrett sat like this listening to them for about 30 minutes. They were that good! Plus they were really fun as well!! Afterwards Garrett went up to say Hi and I got this picture of them. Hmmm, possible future entertainer right here ;) Loving all of the Halloween decorations! We saw Mary Poppins and Peter Pan walking. One of the rides had a car outside that Garrett just had to get into! Tim was busy adjusting some things on the camera so Garrett was having fun climbing walls, running around signs, and just burning off some energy!! Tim finished that up and It's a Small World Ride was right here so we decided to go on as the line wasn't very long. One of my favorites that I remember going on as a child!! After the ride finished up we decided to head over to the castle as Garrett had his Prince Package at the Bibbidy Boppity Boutique. This was amazing!! I highly recommend doing it at least once. It was perfect because this was going to be Garrett's costume for the Halloween Party tonight. While we were waiting Garrett was checking out what his costume was going to look like and he got to pick which sword and shield he wanted. We then headed outside of Cinderella's Castle to wait for our Fairy Godfather to show up. While waiting Garrett had fun posing for pictures and watching Cinderella herself!! Hoping she's still there when we are done so Garrett can take some pictures with the Princesses!! Garrett's Fairy Godfather came to get him to take him back to where he would have his transformation. We then were taken to a dressing room with Garrett's prince outfit laid out inside for him to get dressed. He was so excited to see it, and it fit him perfectly!! We then were taken to his Fairy Godfathers Chair where Garrett would be getting turned into a Prince. First up was the hair, it was so funny because at one point we thought he was going to fall asleep, LOL. After the hair was finished Garrett went through the process of getting knighted. He absolutely loved this part, he is just too darn cute!! Then it was time for Garrett to see himself. I loved his reaction!! Now that Garrett is officially a Prince and protector of Disneyland we decided to go and see if we could find some princesses to protect. Look....we found one.....Elena of Avalor!! She was so good with him. We let her know that he had a speech delay discreetly and she took his hand and interacted so well with him. We then stopped for a quick dinner of hamburgers and fries. Garrett was having fun pretending to be a prince while we waited for Tim to bring the food. After lunch we headed over to get our bracelets for the Halloween Party. These cast members were so nice and friendly! They were really giving Garrett the attention about his costume!! It was great!! After we got our bracelets we hit some rides that we hadn't been on. Along the way we enjoyed looking at the different decorations. We had another family stop us and tell us how cute Garrett's costume was. Of course he really enjoyed that, LOL!! Waiting in line for the first ride of the night.....The Yellow Submarine. Next stop was Ghost Galaxy, aka Space Mountain!! Love that Garrett was really enjoying the roller coasters :) As we were heading up front we noticed they were starting a Halloween Dance Party so we decided to stop and see what was happening. All of a sudden James P Sullivan from Monsters Inc showed up to party and dance with the kids. To say Garrett was excited is putting it mildly. Garrett has some pretty slick moves!! We left about 30 minutes later since there was just so much to see and do. We went on a couple more rides including the rockets. This was my least favorite ride!! Just not very exciting, Garrett and Tim seemed to like it though!! After that we headed into Fantasyland to ride some of those rides we had missed and to hit some of the trick or treat stations along the way. Garrett loved the spinning teapots. Him and Tim were really getting it spinning!! After Fantasyland we were going to head over to the Haunted Castle but along the way Garrett finally fell asleep. So Tim and I walked over to the water and listened to the Cadaver Dans as they sang on the water. Eerily spooky and pretty at the same time. While sitting and people watching one of the cast members came over to ask us how our night was going and make sure we were having fun. It was nice talking with her and seeing how she really enjoyed her job. Since Garrett was still sleeping we decided to stay put and watch the fireworks from where we were. It was still pretty, although we didn't get the full effect. But that's ok. During the middle of it is when Garrett finally woke up. We thought we could get in one more ride before we had to head over for the parade and the headless horsemen. We hadn't been on Pirates of the Caribbean ride yet and we got on pretty quickly. Unfortunately in the middle of the ride it broke down. So yep you guessed it, we missed the headless horsemen and most of the parade. O-well, that just means we have to go back again at Halloween :) The castle at night is so pretty!! We made it through to the very end and as everyone was walking there were several characters up on the train station singing a goodnight song. What a great day!! This was definitely a fun night, and I would pay to go again. A 10 out of 10 day!! Next time though we are hoping to be at Disneyworld and staying at Disney's Wilderness Campground.
