So after we finished up with Oceanworld we headed down the 101 to where the locals tell us you can see dozens of Elk in the field. Our drive down was magnificent!! We finally made it to the Elk location that the locals said is a must hit while here. Wow, so many Elk. They are an amazing creature. I love seeing them in the wild. After we were done checking out the Elk we headed back North to the Trees of Mystery. Our drive of course did not disappoint!! Made it to Trees of Mystery. Garrett was pretty mesmerized with Paul Bunyan and his blue ox Babe...... Getting ready to hike the trail.....definitely a bit of a hike to do this so if you aren't in pretty decent shape make sure you tell them at the gift shop that you want to take the shuttle up to the sky lift so you don't have to do the hike. We are in pretty good shape and really enjoyed walking the path up to the sky lift though :) Lots of interesting facts about trees along the way, and a lot of different kinds of trees as well!! Next stop was the Cathedral Tree. Many people have gotten married in front of this tree. It was very beautiful!! Continuing on our walk, almost there!! We made it to the Sky Trail. We all loaded up and headed up the mountain. There was enough room for the 3 of us, Bailey and Garrett's stroller. The people were so friendly and stopped the car for us to get into. We were as high up as the Redwoods going up so 300 feet above ground in some cases. Garrett was loving looking around. It was so beautiful as in some cases we even had a view of the Pacific Ocean on the way up. We got to the top and they had an observation deck to go on. We were the only ones because it was so late in the afternoon. They also have a trail you can go down, but it was closed as well for it being so late. We wouldn't have gone anyhow because we had the stroller and the trail wouldn't have been good to take it on. It was very beautiful at the top and Garrett had fun walking around on the deck picking up twigs and other things and looking at them. Heading back down. Heading back down the trail to leave. Finally got to the bottom. That was a really good hike with lots of hills and items to look at. We had a really good time!!
