The next night Tim had off so we went to the San Juan College Christmas Luminaria Display. Every Kindergarten class student fills a bag and these bags are displayed here. It's so beautiful!!
This evening myself, Teresa, and Garrett all headed to the civic center to look at the festival of trees and for Garrett to ride the Polar Express. They had over 70 trees that you could put a ticket in on to win. Some trees were very festive, some were themed like a baseball tree, and some were even wreaths. It was really fun to look at!! Garrett's favorite tree was "The Grinch" tree..... It was then time to get in line for their version of the Polar Express. Garrett was in one of the first groups and he received his golden ticket sticker. Then they took them in a room and a grandmotherly lady read them the story. Then he got to ride on the polar express. It was so funny because he went to get into his car and another little girl in there goes to school with him. I think it made him enjoy it that much more!! We then waited what seemed like forever to see Santa. He got 3 free pictures, his hot chocolate mug and a bell. He was pretty happy about all of it. It doesn't compare to the real thing. However, it was cute and all of the kids seemed to like it!! The next night Tim had off so we went to the San Juan College Christmas Luminaria Display. Every Kindergarten class student fills a bag and these bags are displayed here. It's so beautiful!! We then went to Mexican that night for dinner. They had a really pretty Christmas display out front! Tim was even feeling the Christmas spirit. He wore his Santa hat :) Was a really fun last couple of nights. I love it when we are in cities that love Christmas as much as I do!!
