Garrett thought it would be fun to start the day sitting on the dog. Bailey didn't think it was so funny!!
We made the decision that we would wait to have Garrett baptized/dedicated until we came home. We love our home church so much: Cridersville Nazarene Church. Pastor John Spyker does such a great job and has a real love for children which was part of the reason we decided to wait. We spoke with him earlier in the month and decided August 2nd would be the day since that is when most of our family would be there. Baptizing my son is a very personal decision as I have always lived a Christian life. I was born and raised in the Free Methodist Church and know that my son will also be raised in the church. I know that myself and Tim need to live our lives so that our son will know Christ himself. It is the most important thing for me to raise him right!! We actually had Garrett's Baptism and Birthday Part on the same day. But I am going to separate them in the blog because they are both so important :) Garrett thought it would be fun to start the day sitting on the dog. Bailey didn't think it was so funny!! Here we are getting ready to head to church!! The flower and the pot that will be used to baptize Garrett. Garrett is making his rounds with the family!! Of course he loves going to his Godparents.....Josh and Alisha Wood and their daughter Kayley. Next stop his Grandma Beverly and Grandma Sutton!! Of course he will eventually always make his way back to Mommy and Daddy :) Pastor John starting to talk about Garrett's Baptism and what it means for Tim and I to be baptizing him at this age. We headed up front for his baptism. Garrett did so good!! Pastor John took him and baptized him and Garrett of course had to steal the show by pulling out Pastor's tie and smiling and waving at the congregation. He is my little ham and such a people person. Josh, Alisha and Kayley were up front for being his Godparents and his Grandma Sutton and Grandma Beverly. Thanks to my sister Joyce and Brother In Law Rob for taking pictures for us and for their son Josh for helping as well. I just love my family so much and so thankful that they could be here on this day to celebrate this very important occasion with us! Little guy was so tuckered out from getting baptized that he fell asleep through rest of church :) Kayley and Garrett playing together while waiting for the family to arrive for photos. Family Photos :)
