First things first. Today was a huge milestone for me. You see ever since around middle school I've been considered obese. I was about 150 lbs at that time and since then my weight has continually gone up. After marrying my Best Friend my weight continued to creep. Topping off at one point around 240. When I started this journey my weight was at 237. I've literally tried every program you can think of plus trying to do it myself. Some things worked for a little while (usually a month) but then I'd find myself slipping. Nothing stuck and honestly it was very depressing. I hated my body, hated that I didn't have the willpower even though I desperately wanted this for myself, and hated life in general. I would try a program and pray to God, please let this work for me. I so desperately needed something to give in my life. Finally after a year of watching our friends Tim and I decided to give this a chance. BEST THING I HAVE EVER DONE FOR MYSELF!! For the first time in my life I feel like I have control. Today after 8.5 weeks on program I have finally dropped down to 199 pounds. I haven't seen that number on the scale in 13 years and honestly never thought I would again. I will get to my goal weight of 125 lbs and for the first time in my life know that it will happen. I can't say enough about what this program is doing for us as a family!! Please if you were anything like me and you need something to work in your life with your weight, reach out. I would love to help you love your life again!! With that being said, I still needed to face my nemesis.....laundry. O-well it isn't going to do itself. Honestly it's not that bad here. They have two machines and the room itself is kept very clean. So we put our loads in and head to the playground to play. It works out well and keeps us occupied while we wait. A win-win in my opinion. They have a tetherball in the middle of the playground and we had fun knocking it around for a little while. I wonder if my sisters remember playing this when we would go camping at Metamora when we were young :) I've been trying to do laundry twice a week here, but today we had 3 loads. So we had to stay just a little longer. So thankful that they have lots to do here at the Campground where the laundry room is and that I can keep Garrett pretty busy while waiting. He found the trucks and decided to bring them up to the porch and play. We finally finished up and headed back to the RV for lunch. We had our normal routine for the rest of the day. After Tim left for work we were outside playing and all of a sudden we see this Beetle. It was probably 2 quarters put together to give you a feel for how big it was. Garrett kept wanting to touch it, but I don't know if the beetles in this state are harmful so I wouldn't let him. We watched it for probably a good 30 minutes before it was time to head inside and the little guy headed into the woods. I'm so thankful that we are able to explore like we do. Lots of different ways to learn, that is for sure!!
