Well it was finally time to go upstairs to the pediatric department. We sat in one of the kids rooms until it was time to head back and see the doctor. Garrett thought his arm band was pretty cool!!
This morning Garrett and I took my Mom to Ohio Institute of Ortho Surgery. Her previous knee replacement wasn't bending back as far as they would have liked so they are going to put her under and physically push it back for her. I'm taking her but my Niece Amanda is going to come and pick her up and bring her home. Garrett and I went outside after they took her to the room so he could burn off some steam while we waited. We had to leave at noon because Garrett had a cardiologist appointment with a pediatric cardiologist at 1:00 pm at St. Rita's Hospital. Mom was still in surgery when we left but we knew she was in good hands with Amanda. So off we went to St. Rita's Hospital. We had lunch at the hospital and while we were there we saw one of my previous co-workers Erica from when I worked at Freudenberg. It was nice to sit and catch up with her. I'm really proud of how far she has come as she is now working for one of the doctors at the hospital. Well it was finally time to go upstairs to the pediatric department. We sat in one of the kids rooms until it was time to head back and see the doctor. Garrett thought his arm band was pretty cool!! He advised that he wanted to do an EKG just in case as one last precaution. So they came upstairs and hooked him up to the machine. After that he looked at and listened to Garrett and reviewed all of Garrett's records. He said at this time there is nothing that he would recommend and that we just keep an eye on the condition. He advised that there are more kids than we realize with this condition but it is good that we know about it so we can make sure there are no changes. He said Garrett can resume all activities including sports. As far as activity is concerned there is no change. Yeah!! I'm pretty excited about that :) While we were waiting for the paperwork to OK Garrett's surgery with the Urologist Garrett found these frames and had fun playing with them :) After we finished up we headed home. Mom and Amanda were there and Mom was pretty out of it. She needed to have some prescriptions filled so Garrett and I headed to Walmart to have them filled. While we were waiting I let Garrett go to the Halloween section because he LOVES that section!! He tried on so many different masks and pretended to scare other people in the aisle. I'm thankful that he isn't afraid and thinks that the masks are funny.
