Today we headed to Picacho Peak State Park to see the Civil War demonstration and to meet up with Tim's dad and his girlfriend Barb. This was the first time for them to meet Garrett.
Garrett had his usual morning nap and he has an elephant that he has been sleeping with. Today was so cute he had it on top of him and that is how he fell asleep with it.

We left around 10 AM to head out to the state park. We had a great time visiting with the family and watching the Civil War demonstration. Garrett did great since he had on the headphones we got for the loud booms. I always find our history fascinating and today was no different. The actors did a great job although I don't know how those soldiers wore those dark blue coats in the heat like they did. It was pretty warm out there and we were all dressed in t-shirts and pants. They had areas throughout the park where tents were put up showing how the soldiers lived back then and where they slept. Tim mentioned that the tents they had back then were much like the tents he had while serving in the Army. Interesting how some things don't change that much.
Afterwards we decided to go to Dairy Queen for some ice cream. Garrett even had a couple spoons of Tim's vanilla after he had his dinner of course :) Grandpa Sutton and Barb couldn't believe how good of a baby he was and how happy. He took right to them and wasn't afraid. It's so neat to start to see his little personality come out. He is definitely going to be a people person from what we can tell. He just loves people!!
We had pizza for dinner since tonight was Tim's pool night, won't be getting from that place again. Very greasy!! That night when Tim came home he said they found a rattlesnake up by the laundry room and to be extra careful since they are coming around now. They also found another one on the next row over of RV's. So I'm having to watch Bailey and Garrett extra close and to definitely be very familiar of where we are walking. It is especially stressful for me at night since it's not well lit and a flashlight can only go so far. Plus rattlesnakes aren't the only things I have to be weary of. Scorpions, Tarantula's, and Javelina are all things that I have to watch out for not including the cactus that is in the area. Plus the dog thinks she can sniff every little thing and wants to chase anything that moves. Hopefully we all can make it through the next 5 months with no issues, phew!!
On a side note tonight we went and visited another RV park that is about 4 miles from where Tim works compared to the 25 miles we are now. So we may be moving in the very near future as that RV park was nice as well. Not in the country like this one but sometimes we have to give and take a little and it's 100 dollars cheaper a month than this one. So not only will we be saving in gas but also in rent, woohoo!!
