The Bonneville Salt Flats is one of the most unique natural features in Utah. Stretching over 30,000 acres, it was just simply amazing!!
The RV Park was very nice that we stayed at. Would definitely recommend for anyone traveling this route through Nevada!! We got on the road about 9:30 AM and these pictures just don't do justice for the beauty of the area. The mountains and tunnels we went through were so beautiful. I just keep wanting to pinch myself to make sure this is still real. We stopped for lunch at Costa Vida, a little Mexican cafe along our route. The food was actually very good, and the place was packed!! It's always interesting to see where we are going to park our RV since we can't just park it in a normal parking spot. That for us is sometimes one of the biggest challenges that we run into. Continuing on, eventually we will hit the Salt Flats..... Imagine a place so flat you seem to see the curvature of the planet, so barren not even the simplest life forms can exist. Imagine the passing thunder of strange vehicles hurtling by on a vast dazzling white plain. This is not an alien world far from earth; it is Utah's famous Bonneville Salt Flats. The Bonneville Salt Flats is one of the most unique natural features in Utah. Stretching over 30,000 acres, it was just simply amazing!! We were in the Salt Flats for about 2 hours and then we finally made it back into the Mountains again. We know we are getting close now!! Phew, that was a long drive!! Glad to finally be at our campsite for the night. Garrett of course was wanting to help in any way possible :) Garrett playing with Bailey's dog dish!! Enjoying walking/crawling around the campsite :)
