This morning we headed out to go to the Ice Castles in Lincoln, NH. Tim had found out about it from some of the other nurses he works with at the hospital. Garrett was jamming to the music in the back seat on our way and I think the dog was getting into it as well, LOL.
The drive was very beautiful, lots of snow on the ground!!
We arrived at the Ice Castles about 3:30 PM and headed to go inside.
We then headed inside and WOW!! This place was so beautiful. It's hard to believe this was made by people and not machines.
Garrett then saw a little sled area and decided to give it a try. Of course I had to try it as well!!
The little slide was great, but the big slide was AWESOME!! Of course Garrett needed help keeping his gloves on ;)
This place was absolutely beautiful!! So much to explore. In some of the ice structures they had tunnels that you could go through. Of course they were very tiny made for little people. Garrett didn't want to keep going so at one point I had to push him out so I could get through. Tim thought it was hilarious!!
We then watched one of the workers do his magic on adding more to the castles.
Definitely having a lot of fun here!! Garrett was really enjoying the snow and ice and to be honest it didn't feel like it was that cold out since the castles were all blocking the wind.
This place was a lot of fun and we definitely recommend it to anyone that hasn't been. With that being said it's sort of a one and done kind of thing. Or in our case a one and wait until Garrett gets much older to do again. I'm glad we did it and it was really a beautiful experience.
So much beauty in this area. Our drive on the way to our hotel!!
We finally got to the hotel about 6 pm, checked in, and had a great time in the water park. It was a mini one for little kids and Garrett LOVED it!!
We then got back upstairs, had our showers, and got ready for bed. Bailey of course was already enjoying the bed when we walked in, LOL. She sure has a rough life :) She was REALLY happy to see Tim......
We had a great time!! The next day we got up and headed home. So glad that we made the decision to come and check this out and we used our free hotel stay from hotels.com so it was a win/win for us :)
