Garrett was having fun playing cars on his pretend ramp I made for him.
Garrett patiently waiting for me to get ready for church. Playing quietly with his cars while dad sleeps :) He was so good for me today!! That night I took him over to the pool to play. At first we were the only ones in the pool. He loved showing off his skills for me!! He pointed up and all of a sudden there was about 10 of these birds flying around overhead. It was neat to watch them. Wondering what they were looking for??? After a bit a family came in with 8 kids. We love the big families!! Garrett of course loved that. 3 of them were around his same age and he had so much fun playing in the pool with them. Playground fun after pool time was done!! Monday was laundry day for us. The laundry room here at the RV Park is awesome!! It is so clean and they have a good amount of washers and dryers for us to use. Plus a bonus is that the playground and picnic area are right outside our door. Garrett enjoyed playing with his trucks!! Riding his bike around the RV park. Won’t be long before those training wheels will be coming off!! Over at the playground area is a small area to practice your putting on the green. We love to go over to this area and play and hit the ball around. All of the “grass” is artificial and feels funny to walk on. Garrett loves to run and jump and play on this. Wednesday we headed over to the library for story time. LOVE story time. Garrett does so good sitting in his seat listening and then he gets to play afterwards. Love that he is meeting so many different kids!! After we got home we decided to take his plastic golf balls and a pool noodle and try our luck over at the golf putting area. We had a lot of fun and I noticed that Garrett is putting with his left hand. My little photographer……he’s not doing too bad taking pictures!! Putting makes you thirsty!! Fixing his bike while I make dinner…….my future mechanic!! Then it was time to take our neighbor’s dogs for their walk. The male dog Ruger loves Garrett!! At one point we had to separate them, LOL. Getting our dog fix in while we are here!! Swimming time and learning time. Still no idea what kind of beetle this was??? Making a stand to put our Berkey Water Filter on. Garrett loves to help his dad!! All kinds of learning going on here!! The mosquitos here have gotten bad in the last week. They LOVE Garrett and he got bit so many times. These bites were in the span of 5 minutes before I put on the OFF. Holy crow!! Tim and I had nothing while Garrett got all of the bites. Strangely he didn’t itch them at all they just caused a red bump on his skin. The next afternoon we headed over to Show Low, AZ. We had an errand we had to run at a Chase Bank and the closest one was here. So off we went on another adventure, LOL. Because of all the rain they’ve had everything is so green!! It was such a pretty drive!! Love taking our pictures, Tim’s is my favorite, LOL!! Garrett helping do the lights while Tim cleans the windows. Always such a good helper!! Since tomorrow is my birthday we decided to eat while we were here for my birthday dinner. I chose the Cattleman’s Steakhouse. I had the King Crab Legs and they were yummy!! Garrett was enthralled with this huge steer monument!!! What is that??? Real Grass!!!! Oh my goodness we have to play in it with our shoes off. It felt so good. Man do I miss grass…… Then he spotted it, the big Elk on the rock. He had to go up and take a look, I mean what kid doesn’t like to climb a big rock!! Today is Friday, July 27th and I turn 43. Wow, where did the time go?? I love that I feel I’ve really lived my life to the fullest. I’ve never been one to not take an adventure. At 18 I traveled from Michigan over to Virginia Beach, VA. I tried college and decided that at the time it wasn’t right for me (I did go back after I was married and got my degree). Definitely sowed some wild oats while I lived there……and it's where I met my husband on my 21st Birthday when he towed me home ;) No drinking and driving (helped that we both worked for Tidewater Towing). We then decided Virginia wasn’t the place for us and moved to Ohio. My obligatory Birthday photo!! 7 years ago we decided to try Travel Nursing and haven’t looked back. I can’t believe I’ve been to this many states in my lifetime. Only 11 more to go :) I’ve also been to Canada, Mexico, Jamaica, and Grand Cayman. I definitely have no regrets and love living life to the fullest!! So 43 for me is just another adventure, what can I cross off my bucket list this year!! BTW, my Birthday was awesome!! Garrett was having fun playing cars on his pretend ramp I made for him. Tim's motorcycle needed new tires, so Garrett is helping his dad take the old tires off. Always something...... Of course he had to try to take his tire off of his bike after that, LOL. I have no idea how this kid gets such dirty feet!! Yikes!! He is doing so good swimming now. Next Summer I am sure he won’t need to be wearing a floaty. It helps that he had a grandpa, father, uncle and great grandma that were all excellent swimmers and either on a dive team or the swim team in high school. Water definitely runs in his blood!! Sunday we headed to church and Tim continued to work on my stand for the water filter. I love that Garrett really wants to get in there and help him!! Playing some evening basketball. This was taken right before the mosquito's came out and almost carried us away. They say it will be bad like this for about two weeks and then they will be gone again. I can handle two weeks :) That's it folks.....our week in review. We got some items finished we wanted to accomplish and had a great week overall. Still more to get done and my goal this week is to clean up the RV really good and get rid of some things we aren't needing. The good thing about that.....it only takes 1 day :) The benefit of living in 300 sq feet!!
