Garrett and I left the line to go get a place to sit down and eat. Before we could get a table, Garrett had an Eagle toy that he was playing with. Before I could stop him he had thrown it over the banister and into the water. Needless to say he got in trouble and his other toys were taken away from him :(
Since Tim took Garrett out in the woods he has now been going out and collecting "sticks" to bring back and put in a pile. He thinks he is helping so we can have a better fire later on, LOL. Well time to head out for dinner. What are we having.....Lobster of course!! We went to Captain Scott's Lobster Dock in New London, CT. When we arrived the line was pretty long. Garrett had his trucks and he was enjoying himself playing in the shells. How unique!! Most places just have rocks. Garrett and I left the line to go get a place to sit down and eat. Before we could get a table, Garrett had an Eagle toy that he was playing with. Before I could stop him he had thrown it over the banister and into the water. Needless to say he got in trouble and his other toys were taken away from him :( Our new seat had guests. Lots of Geese!! Garrett had a great time feeding them some of his snacks, LOL. A couple of times they came in close and grabbed at his fingers with their beaks. He didn't cry, just looked really astonished. The little girl next to us had the same thing happen to her and she said it didn't hurt just felt like rubber pressing down. I think Garrett was more surprised that they did it than anything. My meal was just OK, Tim said his was good. I think I'm more of a crab girl than Lobster, but around here Lobster is what you get :) So when in Rome.....next stop, Fireworks in Madison, CT. Took us about 30 more minutes to get there. We parked about 1.5 miles out and walked to the beach. Garrett's favorite part.....playing in the sand ;) This must be one of the better fireworks in the area. There were a lot of people!! All of a sudden to the right some people were letting off their own fireworks. They were actually pretty good!! For those of you that couldn't attend a Fireworks show this year, here is one that we taped just for you!! This is just a shortened version of what we saw. We hope you enjoy it!! We finally got back to the truck and made it home about midnight. Suprisingly, Garrett stayed up the WHOLE time!! Needless to say we brought him in, gave him a quick shower (remember the sand) and put him to bed. His little head hit the pillow and he was out! What a great day!! So thankful to be doing this Travel Nursing thing and traveling this great country of ours together!!
