Sep 9 - Today we are heading to Mesa, AZ. We will be taking our dually truck to help Teresa bring back her brand new Solitude RV. She is trading in her old RV for this one. We are so excited for her! I am also super excited that Arizona has their pools open. I've been calling the hotel every day to make sure the pool is open as I have a very excited little boy that can't wait to swim!! First stop though her RV Dealer, Little Dealer Little Prices in Mesa, AZ. The entrance to the dealership is very confusing and unfortunately we turned in the wrong driveway. There were 2 salesmen of the RV dealership sitting outside just watching. Didn't get up to offer to help stop traffic so Teresa could back up, didn't offer any assistance whatsoever. Definitely NOT a good start to helping a new customer and another one who is going to be in the market in about a year for a new one.
Thankfully Tim stopped traffic and we were able to get her backed up and into the correct driveway. We headed to the back to drop off her RV and see what needed to get done for her to sign paperwork and the walk through of her new RV the next day.
We finally were able to head to the hotel and check in. We walked in and when I started checking in I once again asked about the pool. Well they said they had to close it down because it broke......ummmm ok that isn't going to work. So we called hotels.com and they were able to cancel our reservation with no issues. We found one that did have their pool open in Tempe, AZ. Aloft Hotel. Never stayed at this branch so hopefully fingers crossed everything works out. We got checked in and they were able to give us adjoining rooms. The person checking us in was really warm and welcoming. So thankful we found this hotel. Definitely would stay at Aloft again if we ever run across another one! We had Mexican that night for dinner and headed to bed early. Tomorrow is going to be a big day for Teresa and Garrett is really looking forward to getting in that pool!!

Sep 10 - Such a good nights sleep. The rooms are huge!! We all slept like rocks!
We finally got up and around and headed out for Breakfast at a little cafe up the road called Snooze.
We were seated outside and ordered some Mimosa's and other yummy drinks to start our day. They were soooo good!!

Our food came out and everything was very flavorful and good. Definitely would come back here and eat again!!
So after breakfast Teresa, Jann and Tim all headed to the dealership and Garrett and I headed back to the hotel.

They have the pool and surrounding area done up really nicely. This was a really nice hotel. I'm so glad we found it!!

Since they were all still at the dealership Garrett and I decided to head across the street for lunch. They had an Inn n Out Burger. This place has the BEST burgers ever!! Our lunch was sooo yummy!!

We headed back up to our room to chill out for a little bit and watch some TV. Garrett had fun jumping on the beds and playing with the dogs.
The dogs.....well they were enjoying a good nap!!
Garrett finally settled down as well to watch a movie. I thought maybe he would take a nap, but he never did :)
That night for dinner we decided seafood at Bluewater Grill to celebrate Teresa's new RV purchase. Sure was yummy!!
Today we headed to the Arizona Boardwalk. Its a bunch of shops and fun things for us to do. You can buy a book with attractions in it for a cheaper price than just getting each separately so that is what we did. Garrett is standing next to the sign showing all the fun things to do.
1st stop was the Butterfly Exhibit. I love butterfly exhibits. They are one of my favorite things to do when we go places :)

Right before we went inside we got to watch a 3D movie. It was actually pretty neat.
We got inside and right away Garrett found one on the ground. He was very careful to watch where he was stepping.

We all really enjoyed trying to find them and watching them.
Garrett has really been enjoying having Teresa's sister Ms. Jann with us. He enjoyed walking around with her :)
So many pretty butterflies and flowers.
They said bright color shirts like Jann's will attract them and sure enough it did. One landed right on her. Next time we go we will have to remember that!

Everyone seemed to really be enjoying looking at all there was to see.
We then headed out of the butterfly exhibit into the insect exhibit. Crazy how big some of these things were!!
We had a really nice time in the butterfly exhibit and would definitely come back and visit this one again.
Then we walked by funny mirrors. Garrett thought this was AWESOME!!

Then we went into Pangaea Dinosaurs. This is a 1 and done for us. Not what we were expecting it to be, and it was just OK.
They did have some cool activities for the kids to do and take with them though. That was definitely fun for Garrett.

For lunch we decided to eat up in the Dinosaur Grill. Was pretty good food.
While the adults went into some shops Garrett got to play in the middle area with some other kids.
Such a fun day!! We got home and Sassy had smacked her tail so hard she caused it to bleed. So we had to bandage it up for her. She DOES NOT like it, lol!!
For dinner that night we ended up eating at The Melting Pot. One of my favorite places. So yummy!!
Sep 12 - That morning Tim took Garrett down to swim in the pool while I did some laundry. For lunch we met Papa Sutton at Teds Hot Dogs. Tims dad hasn't really been out much because of Covid so we are so thankful we were able to meet him for lunch. Garrett loves his Papa so much!! We got home from lunch and Chloe was enjoying one of her bones.
In the afternoon we headed back over to the Odysea Aquarium with Teresa. The entrance is absolutely beautiful!! The glass bowls all have fish in them, and the chandelier is made out of plastic bottles. So pretty!!

We did the touch tank with the sting ray. Garrett however could not reach in enough to be able to touch anything so it was a bust for him :(

September 13 - This morning we picked up Teresa's new RV. So exciting!!

We use a gooseneck on our truck. This is what it looks like hooked up.
We finally headed out. We had several mountain ranges to go up and over. While we were driving the truck started its regen process. During this time the temp coming out of the exhaust can get up to around 1100 degrees F. So very HOT!! Well GMC apparently didn't think this through as they had the exhaust system coming right out the back and you guessed it.....right onto the RV. It started melting the front of her RV. We felt horrible :( Needless to say we will be fixing this once we get home and put on a new exhaust system to come out the side instead.
We finally made it home about 5 pm that night. It was a really nice trip and we were thankful we could go and help bring her new RV home. Plus we had lots of fun while in the Phoenix area!
On a side note both Tim and I were not impressed with the service at Little Dealer, Little Prices and would not go back through them with the purchase of a RV. Definitely going to be doing some research on which dealerships are the best ones for sales and service!!
