We then ate lunch, picked up his uniforms and headed back to my mom's house. Tim got about an hour nap in before we headed to daycare to pick up Garrett and then Walmart to get his glasses. Here he is on Tim's lap getting fitted for them.
Whenever you start a new travel nurse contract you have lots to get done. From a mask fit test, TB test, physical, etc. Well when Tim had his mask fit test done he used a N95 mask, apparently the new hospital that Tim is going to has a specific N95 mask that they want him to use so he needed to get this re-done. He was going to do it in Michigan but the facility didn't stay open long enough. It has to get done today as he is scheduled to start at his new facility on Monday. So after dropping Garrett of at school we headed to Dayton to get this done as well as get his new uniforms. We went to the Urgent Care facility where I had called earlier in the week to verify that they would be able to get it done. I also called again that morning to verify. Both times I was told yes, we got there and was told no. So frustrating!! So needless to say we had to find another facility and quickly, they wanted this done by 12 CST and it was already 11 EST. We found another spot about 20 minutes away and headed there. At 12:30 we were finally finished and the fit test was sent off. Phew, that was cutting it toooooo close!! We then ate lunch, picked up his uniforms and headed back to my mom's house. Tim got about an hour nap in before we headed to daycare to pick up Garrett and then Walmart to get his glasses. Here he is on Tim's lap getting fitted for them. He looks so cute in them!! We then walked around Walmart to kill some time. Just like his father, LOL!! It was finally time to head to Anna to see Kayley cheer. We went early and watched the JV game. Garrett really enjoyed watching the basketball players. Taking a selfie with Garrett, Tim and my sister Joyce :) Then the Varsity team came out. They played the National Anthem and it was so darn cute. Garrett was singing along to it with Tim and was holding his hand over his chest. Proud of my little guy!! Then during half-time Kayley came out to cheer with the other 3rd, 4th and 5th grade Elementary Students. The JV and Varsity Cheerleaders were out there to help them. We ended the night eating at the Inn Between Tavern with Josh, Alisha, Kayley, Dave, Sally, Rob, Joyce & Josh. Was a fun night and I am thankful we were able to go and watch her!!
