Today we are heading up to Portland, OR. Tim has to renew his ACLS and PALS certifications and since we wanted to visit this area we decided to kill two birds with one stone. We decided to take a side road to get up there instead of interstate 5 the entire way. It took us about 6 hours total for the trip. Normally we don't drive that long but we wanted to get up there and figured Garrett has been doing so good riding we would try it. He did great!! He is such a good little traveler for us.
The scenery was beautiful!! It was what I envisioned Oregon to look like. Trees and mountains on the drive.
I love bridges. Here is one for the train to go over.
The only town we drove through until we got to interstate 5 in Eugene. This was where we ate lunch at the Dairy Queen.
We ran along this river and train tracks for miles before we hit interstate 5. It was so pretty!!
Our last stretch before we hit interstate 5.
Finally made it to Portland :)
Garrett enjoying the breeze in his hair, LOL!! Looks like he stuck his hand on one of those electric balls. It was so funny!!
