So today we went out looking at other RV parks because on July 1 we will have to move out of this one for 2 months for the summer. They don't do monthly rates here during that time and to pay the weekly rate is expensive!! So we went out searching for our next home. We went and looked at several different places but none of them felt right until Whispering Pines Campground in Rhode Island.
It's about the same distance just in the opposite direction for Tim to go to work. They have a lot of the same fun things to do such as pool, playground, fishing, and lots of extras. A lot of their activities are geared towards the toddlers which will be great for Garrett. Looking forward to our move there!!
After we were finished there we decided to head to Newport, RI since it was only 20 minutes away. It was about 3 pm and we figured we could head that way and look around for a bit.
Our drive there was definitely beautiful and to know that we will be this close when we are at this RV park is exciting. There are so many trees and the homes are old but well kept up. Some of them are made out of stones and are just so beautiful. You can tell the age on some because they will have signs out front saying when their home was established.

Heading into Jamestown, another city that we would like to explore.
Between Jamestown and Newport is a toll bridge. $4.00 for anyone wondering. While crossing the bridge we noticed that there was a lighthouse on an island out in the middle.
Welcome to Newport, RI!! It was pretty late in the day but we still had a little bit of time. Driving around looking for the Welcome Center.
Heading into the Welcome Center. The volunteers here were extremely helpful. We were given lots of great information for next time we come to visit.

The shopping area. It was huge and several blocks long. Traffic was stop and go due to this week the kids were on Spring Break. Was neat seeing all the different buildings.

Cool Sculpture!!
Went to a local park where we walked around and Garrett found some seashells. We had to keep a close eye on him since he kept gravitating towards the water. Was a beautiful location but we all started getting hungry so it was time to move on.
For dinner we stopped at Anthony's Seafood Market. This restaurant was actually on Diners Drive ins and Dives with Guy. So cool!! The food was really good, I had the Stuffed Shrimp, yummy. They had cool things hanging on the walls, including fish and boats and other things in the window cutouts. We had fun looking around and checking everything out. Definitely would eat here again (except theirs so many other places to try out)!!
