Today we are heading out for our trip to San Diego. So excited!! We are stopping overnight in Yuma, AZ so our trip today will be about 3 hours total. Another state we get to add to our map!! As we were preparing the trailer to leave Bailey jumped up on our neighbors trailer so I took a picture of Bailey and Garrett. Garrett was already sitting in that area before Bailey jumped up. For the first leg of the trip the scenery was pretty similar to what we see in Tucson. Not much of a change but I took some pictures to document our trip. Once on Interstate 8 is when we started to see a little bit of change. Tim thought maybe they were lava rocks, I'm going to google it and see after we get home since we were both unsure. There were black rocks all over the place. This was also the area where we literally got hit by about 1000 bees. Thank goodness we had our windows up and the air conditioner on!! Here is the video we took of the bees that were dangling off the front of the grill. It was so crazy hitting those bees like that. I wonder how often that happens to other people!! We were suprised as we were driving to see all of the cattle farms and also all of the farm equipment. We thought we left that behind in Ohio, LOL. On our drive we also saw a huge field full of solar panels. We are assuming that these are used to help with the energy in Arizona. It was really neat to see the hundreds of them that they had. It is amazing how quickly the land will change as we are driving. We are so blessed to be able to travel the way we are and see the different landscapes. We go from flat land to mountains in just a matter of miles!! Heading into the mountains. So beautiful!! We arrived in Yuma at the Arizona Sands RV Park around 5 PM. We didn't hook up since we were only staying for one night and were close to the restrooms. We ended up eating at a Pizza place for dinner since we wanted to try to see the meteors that were supposed to be showing up that night. We did look for them but didn't see any. Tim found an app on his phone that showed the stars and we actually think we found Jupiter, really neat!!
