It's moments like this that make me so proud of my husband and the work that he does. I know how hard his job is and how stressful moments can be.
Today my Niece Kayley was in her school's Spelling Bee. I am so proud of her. She has been working really hard to memorize her words so she gets them right. She was so nervous!! I'm sure she will do great :) Oh my goodness....last 3 kids. I'm so nervous for her :) Now, down to the last 2. The little girl spelled her word wrong, oh my goodness if Kayley gets this right she will have won. She spelled it right and won the spelling bee!! Way to go Kayley!! We are so proud of you. Now on to the Regional Spelling Bee for the surrounding counties in February!! The winners!! I believe all of these kids should be super proud of themselves for getting this far. They all did great in my opinion!! Great job Anna Elementary School Spelling Bee kids!! That night we headed out to the Sidney Winterfest Parade. Me, Tim, Garrett, Josh, Alisha, Kayley, Joyce, Rob, Josh, Dave & Sally all went together. It was so much fun, but cold brrr.......Waiting for the parade to start!! Tim and Dave took Garrett and Kayley around to look at the lights by the courthouse. The kids loved looking at the lights :) The parade finally started and the kids loved it!! So much candy. One of the great things is that we had 3 people representing their jobs with us: Ohio Department of Transportation (Joyce), Shelby County (Sally), and the City of Sidney (Big Josh). So when all of the trucks went by for each of these things the drivers knew and would throw extra candy to the kids. So much fun, Garrett even got a stuffed frog!! Alas, it wasn't all fun though. Big Josh came up to Tim while the parade was going through and said he was needed. A little girl was having a seizure and they were looking for medical people that could help. Tim being an ER Nurse went back and assisted. During that time a firetruck also was going by and all of the firemen came off and assisted as well. They ended up taking the little girl to the hospital. I'm sure so scary for the little girl as well as the parents.
