Tonight we headed out to board The Polar Express. I love this story and movie and Garrett is a perfect age to start doing these types of things. We arrived about 5 PM and changed out of our street clothes into our pajamas. We then were escorted to a holding tent to wait for the train to arrive so we could begin boarding. They had the tent decorated really cute and of course lots of other families were wearing their pajamas as well :) Time to board the train. On the train and it was so much fun!! Singing, dancing, hot cocoa, cookies. WOW!! We all were having so much fun. The characters were great and they were having so much fun with the kids. Then it was time to be quiet for a little bit while they read the story to us. It was over the intercom of the train and was a bit difficult to hear. Because of this and the singing and dancing before hand most of the kids weren't really into this part as much. Lots of squirming kids, including ours, LOL. The conductor coming around to punch your golden ticket. Garrett's had a G for his name punched into it. Here come's the North Pole. Getting ready to pick up Santa. Of course the kids were very excited!! The elves came through to let us know our car was next for Santa visiting :) Oh my goodness.....here comes Santa!! Then it was Garrett's turn. Santa spent a little time with him gave him his bell and told him to make sure that he always believed. Then it was time to make as much noise as possible with your bell, LOL. We finally arrived back at the train station. The Polar Express lasted about 1.5 hours and it was well worth it in my opinion. We will definitely do again next year if one is near us for wherever we are. Time to get changed back into our street clothes and head out for dinner. What to eat......well lobster of course. I mean we are only going to be here for just a little while longer :) We ate at Eastwind Seafoods, so good!! What a great way to end a great day!!
