Today was Tim's first day at his new contract here in Tucson. This is a first for him to work the day shift. For the last almost 10 years now he has been exclusively a night shift nurse. He likes to leave the RV an hour before his shift starts even though it only takes about 30 minutes to get there. So I got up and made his lunch for him for the day and sent him on his way to work.
Garrett and I had an uneventful day, we played and went up to the office to get our first package of mail sent from Alisha. He took a nice long nap in the afternoon and then had his dinner, bath, storytime, bottle and off to la la land he went.
Tim got home around 8 pm and said he was tired but his first day went well. He ate lunch with one of his co-workers and he likes the hospital. One of the plus sides of where he is working is that they let you do self scheduling. Which means he schedules himself for the days he wants to work. So if we know we have something coming up or something we would like to attend he can make sure that he doesn't have to work on that day. The only downside of him working the day shift is he doesn't really get to see Garrett. When Tim leaves in the morning Garrett is still sleeping and I put him to bed around 7 pm every evening so he is already in bed when Tim gets home. I tried to keep the little guy up last night but he was falling asleep in my arms so I finally decided to put him in his crib. Hopefully tomorrow he will stay up until 8 to see his daddy before bedtime.
