Garrett is a lot like me in that he is an early riser. So we were up and showered and ready to go to breakfast by 7 am. We headed to Black Bear Diner as that was the closest place for breakfast. On the way in Garrett was pretty excited that he found a family of bears :)
We got inside and they gave us our menus. Garrett had a cool kids menu and I asked him to draw a picture of Sassy our dog. His drawing is at the very top of the page. He then wanted me to draw a picture with all of the dogs. So he had me draw Sassy, Ruger, Remi, and Chloe. He had me add him to the mix as well.
On the way out because he was so good our waitress brought over a bear mask to give to him. He wore it on the way out of the restaurant and I took his picture beside the car. Isn't he the cutest!!
We finally hit the road around 8 am. We figured it would take us about 5 hours to get to their house pending any stops. Garrett was loving that mask so much an hour later he was still wearing it. He was waving to everyone as we drove by, LOL.
We had rain almost the whole way. California at least in this area has the worst drivers I've ever seen!! They stay in the left lane even when not passing, cut you off like you aren't even there, speed up and slow down as if they aren't sure what speed they actually want to go. Ugh!! It was so bad!! To top it off Garrett had to poop but didn't want to go. His poops are literally man size. I've never seen a kid have poops as big as his. So I probably stopped 6 times for him to "try" to go to the bathroom. Thankfully on that 6th try he finally was able to go. The sitting all day yesterday probably didn't help either, poor little guy!! We finally made it to my Brother's house around 2 pm. My Sister In Law Victoria and 3 of their boys came out to greet us. Garrett was so excited to have some people to play with and Sassy was excited to have a fenced in back yard that she could run in!! They were pretty excited to play in the play clothes that Garrett had brought with him.

My brother had been working and arrived home later on. Garrett was so excited to see him!!

We were so excited to be there with them and so thankful that we were able to meet the boys. They had just adopted them in December and this was the first time we were meeting them. I love my family so much!!
