Feb 17 - It's been over a year since we last saw Tim's Mom. We are all very excited about heading to upstate NY to see her. It's about a 9 hour drive and Tim worked the night before so I drove. All 3 kids were very excited to hit the road!!
We had to drive through Lancaster, PA and we decided to stop at Dienner's County Restaurant. Love the Amish food!! It was so good. While we waited Garrett was having fun using the horse and buggy sugar holder and pretending with it.
We were very excited because the closer we were getting to Grandma's house the more snow we were seeing :)
We finally made it to Grandma's house around 3:30 PM that day. Both dogs and Garrett were very excited to be out of the truck!! They went in the backyard to play and went to run and fell through the snow. Grandma had gotten some freezing rain over the snow which made it hard and crunchy. These dogs didn't know what to think. They wanted to wrestle and play but just kept falling through, it was so funny to watch!!
Garrett was even having a hard time in it. Hence the reason he's on his hands and knees.
Even with the crunchy snow they were all enjoying themselves and having a good time!!
These 2 met me at the gate waiting for me to come in and watch them play.
Tim was heading up the back stairs to go in. Sassy went right up but Chloe wasn't having any of it. Too much ice on the stairs!!
These dogs made themselves right at home at Grandma Sutton's house!!
Well they've played, peed, pooped and ate. What is left.....oh yeah nap time!!
Sassy sleeps with 1 eye open, never sure what Garrett is going to do, LOL!!
Later that evening Grandma got on the floor to play with Garrett. She has a couple of toys she keeps at her house and Garrett loves it!!
Tim was enjoying some much needed relaxation time!!
Best part of going to Grandmas house.....bubble bath time!!
Feb 18 - The next morning Garrett got up and immediately wanted to head outside to play in the snow. I wish it was more fluffier for him, but he was pretty happy with anything he could get :)
Garrett finally came in and Grandma got him a steering wheel from one of Uncle Scott's old games. He really LOVED that!!
Chloe loved laying on the carpet. Here she is enjoying one of her bones.
Sassy loved the couch and taking a good nap!!
Garrett loved dressing up the dogs.
Tim and Linda were getting ready to head up to the grocery store and Garrett wanted to help his dad shovel more of the snow that we had gotten overnight. He is such a great helper!!
Garrett loving on Chloe.
Tim and Chloe taking a much needed nap.
Feb 19 - I came out into the living room and found these 2 dogs laying like this.
Then they started playing with each other.
Then everyone headed outside for some much needed play time!!
Tim started cleaning off all the ice on the back porch and of course Garrett wanted to help.
Feb 20 - Garrett telling Grandma he's in a rock n roll band, LOL ;)
This man can sleep through anything......LOL!!
Dogs are sucking up all that Grandma love ;)
Uncle Scott, Sassy, Tim and Garrett chillin out!!
We had a nice dinner together!! From left to right. Garrett, Tim, Scott, Anne and Linda.
Feb 21 - The next day Garrett was playing with my phone and I noticed he had taken random photos of himself. He didn't do too bad!!
Dogs had fun playing with their tug of war rings.
Feb 22 - Garrett sure loved shoveling the snow!!
I think Chloe has been having a great time. She had a huge fenced in back yard and lots of play time outside. She had a big bone to chew on and plenty of beds and couches to take naps on. I think she's one happy dog!!
Feb 23 - One last day to romp around outside before we leave tomorrow. It's been a great week spent here and we had a very nice relaxing time!!
Feb 24 - We headed out this morning with our normal breakfast stop before saying goodbye at Bob Evans. Was so nice to see Linda again since its been so long. We had a great relaxing time at her house and are hoping all of this Covid is over with soon so she can come out and visit us again!!
On our way home we stopped at a gas station that had this horse and buggy. Garrett wanted to pose, get up in it so I let him.
