Waiting for Stella 2017 Blizzard

So we've been getting storm alerts since last week saying the "BIG" storm of 2017 is coming. The alerts were saying 12-24" of snow predicted. Wind gusts of 60-70 mph and blizzard conditions. So how did we fare? Well we must have missed it......we got about 4" but then it started raining. Total inches when all is said and done probably about 2". We did get some wind with some branches down but not near as bad as what they predicted. I think we fared pretty good. Now here's hoping this melts quickly so I can start packing up the RV!!

I'm sure most of you have heard of Dave Ramsey. Late last year Tim and I sat down and decided that we really wanted to become debt free. So 2017 started a new year for us of paying down as much debt as we could. Today was a huge victory for us. Today I was able to pay off Tim's motorcycle 1.5 years early.  So far this year I have been able to pay off 2 debts that we had but that one was by far the biggest!!  That is a huge chunk of change that we will be saving and snowballing towards other debt.

We have step 1 done (actually put in 2000 because of our travel life) and are slowly working down step 2. This one will take a bit longer because of our student loans but I look forward to the day when I say we are completely done. You don't realize until you really look at where your money is going and what you are spending it on. We still like to go out and have fun and do fun things but now we just better budget it in. 

We hunkered down because of the weather and Garrett was having a lot of fun. I had put on some New Orleans videos and was watching them and some music came on so Garrett was dancing to it. The child has no rhythm, but is sure fun to watch, LOL.

Then in the same video they started doing some exercises. Garrett tried and it was hilarious!!
