Today marks 13 weeks since we started program. Wow 3 months. It sure doesn't seem that long!! Well today I officially hit my goal weight of 165. 165.2 to be exact. So tomorrow I begin the transition process. I checked the weight requirements of the military since I used to be former Army and I am 10 lbs less than what an 18 year old man is required to be to join. WOW!! I am now in the healthy range on the BMI scale. I'm no longer on any of my diabetes, high cholesterol, or high blood pressure medications and I feel better than I have in years. If someone would have told me back in April when I turned 50 years of age that I would be at a healthy BMI and weight in August I probably would have looked at them like they'd gone crazy. But that is exactly what happened. At 50 years of age I decided it was time to take control of my life and quit letting my life take control of me. This program has helped me do just that!! What is my next step......to continue on with transition and start a workout regimen and get a whole new wardrobe. If anyone has any good exercises with bands let me know. We are going to be purchasing some this week (we are using bands to keep the weight down in the RV). Kat did great this week!! She was down a total of 3.8 lbs in one week and is down a total of 48 lbs all together. Not only that but she has come into the 180's. I'm so very proud of her!! Believe me when I tell you that she has tried every program you can possibly think of to lose the weight and for the first time in her life knows she will hit her goal weight of 125.
